Why do you need to compensation buff things everytime you nerf them?

If something is overpowered it needs to be nerfed without being compensated for it. Thats just how logic works.

Ignite is insanely overpowered right now and has been for like a year and you shave a whole 30 seconds off of the cooldown just to revert the damage back to how it was when it was actually balanced. Wtf?

Stop with this shit. Ignite didnt need to be buffed but you buffed it anyway, and when you finally nerf it a year later it comes with compensation so basically nothing at all is achieved.

The only time something doesnt get compensation buffed is when it’s a meme nerf like -0.18 armor growth or -2 AD. Ridiculous.

If you don't compensate something that was too weak before the buffs then the original problem most likely comes back. Since we are talking about ignite the reason it got buffed in the first place was because no one was really taking it unless your champion did not have another choice. If they just put it back and do nothing else why wouldn't the original issue just come back immediately?

Probably because practically nobody took it before the buff because it wasn't good.

Nobody in pro play took ignite in any role besides support for at least a good year. Most of the supports did it because their dedicated summoner spell was hot garbage and they had no better alternatives.

Assassins were at a historic low, defensive stats and itemization were absurd

Aggressive gameplay continually got shafted, favoring extremely meta-set standards for gameplay

Don't act like it was balanced. It was underwhelming and the aggressive midlaner playstyle was dead.

Has Riot thrown plenty of bones at aggressive playstyles? Sure. Is it too much? Good chance, yeah. But this idea that 35 extra damage at level 6 is somehow responsible is the biggest boards meme of 2018.
