Reason why Cho'gath is unpopular

He is super clunky. SUPER CLUNKY.

His Q is very telegraphic to the point where, unless the enemy walks into it or the target is already cc'ed, it is useless. You also can't cast anything during the cast time of q or cancel it or anything if you press the button you are forced to wait a long ass animation before you can do anything.

W's hitbox and visual effect are completely unrelated.

E is same as W.

R is a decent ability except very unreliable. Also having execute on a champion who is mainly played as a tank is very weird.

Seriously we should stop releasing new champions for a bit and focus on reworking these older champions.

Let him stay on the fringes. You ever seen what a competent Cho can do ? I'm glad I don't see that broken champ often.

As clunky as Cho is, Sion is much MUCH worse. Literally every single one of his abilities has so much counterplay that I can't imagine someone who hasn't played Sion for hundreds of games landing over 50% of his abilities in a game. There's so much mobility in the game right now that champions like Cho, Sion, and Karthus are far too unreliable to see regular play. If you hit even a single Q on Riven, or Yasuo, or Ekko, or Fizz during lane phase, you should consider yourself lucky. Even against a champion with no mobility a simple pair of tier 2 boots will nullify almost all of your kit.
