im just wondering. with this amount of trolls i see in the game ( not bad players actuall trolls with purpose ) its so huge i played DOTA for 7 years before League of legend i played HON but in any othe games i never saw this huge amount of trolls so repeadly They actually TROLL on purpose and they ADMIT it in the game and they just say "I DONT GIVE A FUCK" and after the game i report them i explain exactly what they did in-game but i never got a insta feedback and when i double check them few days later they are still playing and still trolling they dont get banned. So now i decided to ask RIOTERS . How Many Games one Player should troll to get banned?

Hahahahahaha. Riot doesn’t ban trolls. They ban the people who call trolls out.

I got my honor 5 wiped a while ago, and chat restricted for 20 matches, because some edgy brat told me to kill myself, and said in /all chat "this player keeps saying kys, please report".

When I spoke to Riot support, they told me repeating what he said was a punishable offense, that he couldn't do anything about it because my punishment was apparently completely automated (even though the player in-question said it and got off scott-free), and refused to disclose that they didn't punish him on a 'privacy basis' (iirc there is a pop-up window in the League client that confirms when a report is successfully followed-through on by Riot staff). The person I spoke to implied that the onus was on me to be offended enough to report him, instead of just letting it go and moving on to the next match, which really pisses me off even to this day.

OP, the reason why there are so many trolls in this game, is because the company that owns it are the Masters of Trolling

I think you missunderstood the support. They were telling you that the report is a personal act and you should not ask other people to report someone. First the opposing team can't know if what you say is true, and secondly one report is enough to flag a game for review, so nine reports are not going to carry more weight than one when It comes to punishment.

Asking in /all to report a player for his behaviour in allied chat will lead to nothing but a "call to report" war.

The correct answer to someone trolling/flamming is :

  • Mute
  • Report

In this exact order.

if they say bad words then 1 game, if not then 500 games https://discordemoji.com/assets/emoji/1557_omegalul.png

There should be harsher punishments in ranked.

If they admit to it, it should be only one game.

But the amount of players who flat out say things like "lol have fun with the loss" or "yea im just gonna run it down, gl" or "ok.. time to make us lose now cus you did X thing to me i didnt like" and then DO proceed to int/run it down/grief teammates, without ever getting punished for it, is beyond outrageous.

there have been many times where players say these in a manner that makes it obvious they do it practically every game, and laugh about it.. and somehow those players are still joining matches..

riot are fucking hypocrites. they talk about enforcing everything to even shit as minor as saying "ggez" but they don't follow through with a godamn thing. and they know that griefing and legit inting is the biggest most toxic issue in the community, but refuse to do anything real about it.

I think this nonsense no ff mentality is what contributes to trolls. On the rare occasions I troll it's because my team is hard feeding and refusing to surrender. Games are just unplayable when the score is 4-25 at 17 mins in the game.

It requires 1 game if it's obvious enough, like someone has a KDA of 0/25/0.

However typing "I don't give a f" and being 2/10/9 doesn't essentially proof that they're trolling. In fact a straight "I'm trolling/inting" doesn't do the trick either since sometimes people who just do a mistake type that phrase.

Also I think Riot's bot banner can't recognize ranks and treats everone as players only so it's a bit harder to separate Iron 4 players from trolls.

funny thing about this is that the system is more likely to flag people doing "weird" strats as trolls than actual trolls, no troll can bother to run it down 25 times.

You don't realize that i've seen players who will say "x player doesn't deserve the win" and literally lose the game even if they have 5/0 score, do you think they'll be punished? obviously not. There are also players that don't type much or admit it but if jungler dies to their laner, they'll just casually start playing much worse/ if there's baron fight/dragon fight, they won't go and will just lose.

There are countless players who troll and will never get banned, as long as you get kills and play normally but just don't fight at baron or make 1 big mistake/die once in team fight, flash in when you can't engage and it is game over while they won't get punished at all.

Rank doesn't matter with trolling, you can troll in diamond and won't get punished at all as long as you are subtle enough as i said.

there are soo many variables.... if they talk or not and what they say...if they get reported and how often...if they do it in ranked or not....you really can't put a number of games or time.... what kind of reaction they want from you and how hard they will work to get it...how much they care about losing or winning the game ...one could get banned after 3 games while another after 100+ and if somenoe just afk's all his games to troll others he will never get banned!

to out it simply: good trolls DONT get banned and bad trolls WILL EVENTUALLY get banned... so you can assume most people who do get banned for trolling where probably just mad and got baited in the same way as chat bans while REAL TROLLS continue about their business

just take the fact riot doesn't ban bot programs for int feeding(until there is a wave and the ban is not for int feeding) but will ban humans for the same actions in game and the fact that anyone who gets banned can just make a smurf or buy one(with maybe some risks since it's been bot farmed) and start over, and the only ones who have something to lose are NORMAL PLAYERS WHO DEDICATE THEMSELVE AND THEIR TIME TO THIS GAME the fact that what is considered trolling is not CLEARLY DESCRIBED by riot and everyone has their own view of what is trolling

all those show how riot doesn't care about it and bans people for way lesser reasons then the worst of them all=actively ruining other peoples game

it's really pathetic to see everyone fall into riot's trap and reporting others so they get banned...JUST LET OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THEIR FUN THE WAY THEY WANT!( in normals at least, i agree ranked is serious and only people who are serious enough to play it should have access to it and those who dont be blocked from queuing up for it for Xgames..if your so bad that you int in the lowest tier...you should be removed from ranked like FR RIOT!)

and yes many ideas where given to riot but once again none where taken into account and tried.. it is this way and we need to deal with it aka stay mute and positive IF WE TALK and let others ruin our games and hope maybe once in a while we get a decent one or you might get punished for using this TERRIBLE THING THAT IS INSULTS IN CHAT THAT CAN BE MUTED! terrible person... let them poor little trolls waste everyone's time and be happy about it!

Even if they banned them after lets say 5 games... Making a new acc takes about 5 minutes, which most of it is setting a new gmail. You can also buy a new lol account made by 1 of bazillion botters for a buck, or 2.

jng dif victim1 votes

Still . its a punishment .

Saianna1 votes

Yeah sure, but lets be honest. If the punishment is a joke, would you really be afraid of it?

Noone cares about punishment that doesn't actually punish anyone.

The report system is automated. If it was sentient, it would know what's trolling and not and ban them in an instant. Although the best thing is sending a ticket and the rioters will investigate.

Thing is, people can go 0/20 and not troll and actually have a bad game.

I had a match a few days ago, a Zed was playing like a bot on purpose and was feeding and running it down. Why? Because the enemy team banned his Yasuo and nobody on the ally banned Yasuo btw, so whatever logic this kid had is pretty damn dumb. (Just think...the enemy banned my champ! So I go feed them! Does this even make sense?) Anyway, I reported him and I got an instant feedback a few minutes later. I know he's punished because that's the only report I did of all the matches I had.

Ayyy another Doto bro.

I played that game for 4 years and it was like a 360 League. I would sit and a fight would always break out over voice coms, like ALWAYS, mainly two russians swearing and the other three would laugh their asses off. God was it fun.

The thing is, they always kept it to voice comms, nobody ever took it into the game and ran it down, thats what made it so enjoyable

For me, sending a ticket to riot support team about a troller is 200% more effective than the in game report system. Every ticket I send (I send when someone really trolls not just feeds) I get response about 1 hour later from the amazing player support team (amazing unlike the balance team) and in game instant report feedback.

Starcraft243ver1 votes

If it's obvious I would say 1 to 50 games.

If it's subtle and can be mistaken for bad play i'd say it's not going to lead to a ban, because you have to let people the benefit of doubts

LordBadToo1 votes

HON? Really?

HON has/had one of the most toxic communities I have ever seen in any game period. They make League of Legends look like a monk sanctuary by comparison. In League of Legends someone might feed and curse you out, in HON they are actively trying to find out where you live so that they can murder you in your sleep.
