im sorry for my language im a bit tilted

Well.the question is WHY high elo players Smurf instead of playing on their mains?

im just a diamond player and its not that high elo.in before i myself always hated smurf players and i always wondered why these people come and farm low elo instead of playing on their mains why are they destroying other people games. now i can undestand.

beside all problems with matchmaking and stuff. The big issue that u face when u get to high elo is boosted players. the thing is boosted players are in all elos but they just get boosted and then they play ARAM and flex and etc... . they dont need to ruin they rank.

but in diamond+ boosted players needs to play or they decay so u see so much more often boosted players in games because they have to play or they decay and demote. and in higher elos master+ u dont see that much boosteds but it get worse because people abuse the small population there and they wintrade and u cant do anything about it and the only thing u can do is just watch wintrader is in ur team or the enemy team.

and also u see Transfer players. like someone got challenger or master in vietnam server or OCE server which has less population and less competetive and they transfer to NA/EU/KR with challenger MMR where in fact they cant compete with them and they just int.

and u cant do anything about any single of these problems. u just get to the point where u cant enjoy the game anymore. the only way for you to actually enjoy the game again is play on smurf and make the game enjoyable for urself in cost of ruining it for 5 more people in low elo.

i just made a smurf account and im leveling it up to destroy low elo so i can enjoy the game because its impossible to enjoy the game on my main account.which is sad and its somthing i never taught will ever do but i kinda have to.

i hope one day RIOT finds out that the first step and first priority of balancing is matchmaking not the champions. all they focus is just on champions. and i hope one day matchmaking get fixed. ban system get fixed. and all players start to enjoy playing the game again.

i know its so selfish to ruin the game for 5 people just to enjoy ur self but league is kinda my life and its my only option and im not proud of it and im sorry for writing all these things.

just wanted to share my feeling with u.

thx for reading.

So I'm a bit torn because usually I want to rip these smurfs that post this crap a new one, but you seem a bit more genuine I don't know why. So I'll pull off a bit.

Going to assume this post exist due to your current loss streak, but that's not important. I'll touch on a few things.

beside all problems with matchmaking and stuff.

Matchmaking might not be perfect, but it's certainly not going to get better with you ruining the ladder. Stop smurfing everyone should, it's not fair to lower elo players. They should not lose a promo game, because you are upset about your loss streak. Some people are proud of gold, you denying them that with 5 other smurfs is not fair to him.

The big issue that u face when u get to high elo is boosted players.

I'm sure you've never done an actual stat check of this yourself.

I have kept a document of AFKs/Trolls and Intentional feeders for the first 70 games of this season. Numbers were pretty insane with about 62% of my games impacted by these. 13% of that was AFKs, inters where 30% (29.96), and people like gate keepers took up the rest. As far as players jsut playing like there were boosted only ~17% of my games (12) were impacted by someone of considerable lower skill from their laner. However, that could have been simply Autofills doing or a bad game and had nothing to do with being boosted.

The problem is not nearly enough to be considered a good reason to smurf.

######To add a small amount of credibility to this excel sheet. I sent it to Riot and was happily greeted with 3 Instant feedback reports. So it was somewhat legit.

and also u see Transfer players.

I don't know if this is a thing, but I can give you the benefit of the doubt I I've never really heard of it.

From Riot

You'll need to play all-new placement games on your new server. The seeding will be based on your current MMR relative to the MMR of everyone on that server, so you could end up in a different Tier or Division compared to the League you were in on your original server.

Since it's impossible to place higher than P1 you'd probably never run into a transfer Challenger that was not legit.

and u cant do anything about any single of these problems. u just get to the point where u cant enjoy the game anymore.

You can take a break, season 9 is super frustrating for all. NA is in a much worse boat that other region KR re-stabilized since it's more competitive, but NA is in shambles due to the ranked changes. So consider that. There are still masters with less than 40% winrates.

the only way for you to actually enjoy the game again is play on smurf and make the game enjoyable for urself in cost of ruining it for 5 more people in low elo.

Norms/flex exist if it's too tilting for you. There is never a NEED to go ruin low elo. Grab 4 friends and run a glacial comp since you like Tryn so much. Start the game by saying TEAM GLACIAL and laugh. There are more ways to get joy otu of the game then stroking you elo sayin "look at me smash bronze elo as a Diamond." Your rank proves you can do that you don't need to show it.

i just made a smurf account and im leveling it up to destroy low elo so i can enjoy the game because its impossible to enjoy the game on my main account.which is sad and its somthing i never taught will ever do but i kinda have to.

This is stupid and atrocious logic. Just stop you don't need it.

i hope one day RIOT finds out that the first step and first priority of balancing is matchmaking not the champions...

Riot needs to fix it but you are only making it worse

i know its so selfish to ruin the game for 5 people just to enjoy ur self but league is kinda my life and its my only option and im not proud of it and im sorry for writing all these things.

Then stop doing it and go to norms or flex stop ruining other peoples games to stroke your own ego. Diamond sucks I know been stuck there a long time. I'm very slowly improving, but if it was impossible challengers wouldn't be able to get there.

Yep. According to sibling, this season is the worst, with many boosted people making their way to diamond without the micros or macros to get there (Can't confirm, because I'm gold) so he's pretty much been derping around in silver until matchmaking gets better.

Play normals.

Beerstein8/13/2019, 10:46:55 PM5 votes

You're ruining it for 9 others, not 5. you could also play flex but all you care about is you no matter what justifications you try to come up with. I don't want your ass on my team, nevermind the enemies. I've even told Smurfs on my own team to get fucked, no one wants them around.

I ask you this: Do you even stop to consider the damages you are causing to not only the players, but the system itself? You admit that is selfish, but continue to ruin other people's games for the sole sake of your own enjoyment. What if league is also the other 9 people's lives and their only option?

What you are doing is not going to fix the matchmaking. In fact, you are only going to make it worse. Boosting and holding back people who shouldn't be where they are.

Well maybe if you weren’t soo good at the game you wouldn’t have this problem just saying

The Kombinator8/14/2019, 7:49:00 AM2 votes

Well i know a solution, but beside the possible problem about it's legality. It would SURE harm the playerbase.

The key is the credit card. The idea is to make bound credit card a requirement to play. The system would check, if you credit card data is real. Each credit card can only be used once/server. The data would be saved for account, and anyone who uses the account could use, or even see it. You can't unbound your credit card without giving a new one right away. The name on the new card must always be identical with the old one. If credit card expires, then account cannot be used until new card is given.

Selling account would no longer be possible. At least not without giving up your credit card details, and that is not something people would do. At least not easily.

The only way to create new account on same server would be by getting a new credit card. Not exactly something people do often.

This would also increase the meaning of punishments. Permabanned accounts would be deleted after X months (I think about 6, but that could be a debate on it's own). Allowing the user to create new account.

Boosting would be also risky as hell. As you would forced to give credit card details. The only way i can imagine is to take all money from the account, then switch out the card before putting the money back. Lot of hassle, and extra cost.

The only way to make it more secured would be checking the bank account the credit card belongs to. And instead of forcing the name identical the bank account would be forced. Also you couldn't make new account without another bank account. Since it would be no longer the credit card/server checked, but instead bank account/server. The card details would only serve as a meaning to check the account details, and a holder to give your account to others.

The transfer solution would be making the accounts global. There would be no transfer cost, but instead of credit card/bank account /server it would be one globally. However in return you could transfer for free of charge. They could easily get back the money through the credit card checks by taking some minor cash from it. Like 0,1$. It's not something anyone would miss. But if you add up with the millions of players, then it would give some serious extra. Far more, than they would get from the transfers. Especially since many player simply creates new account for free.

I really don't care if diamond smurfs are in my games, but what I don't like is the attitude that so many of them bring with them.

We're in high gold/low plat elo, and if you're diamond 4, you won't be stomping like you were in bronze. That's just the truth, and I see way too many diamond smurfs unable to move on from that fact.

So many diamond players refuse to work with the team or outright throw because someone didn't do something they said, which is something we all have to do deal with. If you can't deal with people making mistakes, don't smurf.

If you're not this type of smurf, then this isn't about you, but we do need to recognize it's a problem.

I've had a dozen diamond players throw in my games this season alone, both on my team and the enemy team. They say they're smurfing so it doesn't matter to them, then they link their OP.GG and they're having a hard time like we are in gold and plat right now. So they're the last person that should be ego tripping when they're throwing in our games. We can clearly see why you guys don't want to play on your mains, so why are so many throwing on smurfs?

I would be fine with smurfs if Riot made it so whatever you do on your side account effects your main account. People shouldn't get away with hard throwing and harassment just because they're on their side.

I want to see duo queue removed as well, specifically because of smurfs. It isn't being used as intended. There's a massive duo queue boosting issue in gold and plat. Often times the player getting boosted deserves low silver at best, and the low diamond smurf is not good enough to carry that kind of dead weight at our elo, especially if it's top/jungle duo. It's also very oppressive when two smurfs duo queue together.

And then the D+ players smurf and ruin D- Ranked games. They boost anyone they play with and ruin THOSE games that they player plays in solo.

Riot needs to STOP allowing Smurfs and FIX their MMing system and PUNISH cheaters.

If you're smurfing, you'll eventually get back to high elo, unless you purposefully lose to stay in low elo so you can smurf, in which case there's a problem there.

Savage the King8/14/2019, 1:54:35 AM1 votes

I would just like to contribute this to the discussion, that I've had smurfs on my side and the enemy side so many times over the years. Of course, being only gold 2 it might only be 1 in 5 games or less, but still, it is extremely frustrating to face a player that is just so much better than you, that you basically stand no chance of winning and you get destroyed down to your inner core.

Statistically speaking, as I'm the challenged person in my elo, it is more likely that the smurf ends up on the opposing team, but this did not prevent me from climbing in the end. As it's inevitable in this game that some players are smurfs, when I notice a player who consistently plays in a way that I would not expect, then I conclude it might be a smurf, and I take the opportunity to try and shut them down, or even outplay them once. To me, correctly identifying a smurf the earliest moment possible is a minigame in itself.

But yeah, when the smurf is on my team, I'm quite happy to get a free win. So my point is, I've had mixed feelings of rage and bliss regarding smurfs, and I wonder if that is not the same thing as attitude in general in the game ("I can't climb because teammates" vs. "I can't climb because of me"); that seriously puts some doubt on whether I think smurfs should be banned (if it was possible to do so).

Thank you.
