Why Was Team Builder Removed?

The new Dynamic Queue doesn't guarantee the champion you get to play or really guarantee the role you get to play. I can somewhat understand Solo Queue and Ranked modes in general since Dynamic Queue might have been able to replaced both of them at creation (although Solo Queue is probably still needed), but it didn't offer what Team Builder offered. I remember when Riot first released Team Builder and one of the things they essentially said was "Have you ever had those days when you are getting home and you really just wanna play that one champion in that one lane? Well now you can!" Not anymore. Now if you used to main a current FOTM champion, you might as well not try to main the champion anymore because they become so hard to be able to be played. Some people complained about Queue times in Team Builder, but I would much rather wait about 10 minutes to play the champion I want to play than wait about 2 hours of playing games with champions I at the time don't want to play.

Same reason why I miss Teambuilder. Sometimes, I just want to play a champ, I don't want to have the "pick/ban" mentality I usually have in draft. I don't want to worry about the champ I want being picked or banned away. I don't want to think about counterpicking or being counterpicked. I don't want to worry about team comps & thinking, "What works against their's & what works with our's." I don't want to do all that thinking all the time. In Ranked it's required, but in Normal Draft it gets tiring. Hell with the new champ select, I'm not guaranteed the role I want anyway.

With Teambuilder, if I wanted to play Garen, I'm playing Garen. People have long days at work, school or whatever & are tired, they don't want to do all that thinking. They just want to relax on their favorites champs.

Was the wait long sometimes? Yes it was. Did it get annoying sometimes? Yes it did. Was it worth the wait? For me, it was always worth the wait because I got to play the champ I wanted to play or at least try out.

So much this. Even for mid the average wait for me was about 5 minutes. For jungle about 2-3 and for ADC or support instant. It was way more laid back and fun.

Though if you're the one hosting the lobby, you would have to wait quite a bit for a full team. Well mostly support or ADC, the other spots are taken real quick. Of course if you had a problem with people playing off-meta stuff (another plus of Teambuilder) or you were trying to get a serious team comp, then your picky-ness would lead to a long wait time.

Stop right there. Dynamic Queue isn't what you are complain about. It's called the New Champion Select Experience. Dynamic Queue is the ability to add more people to ranked then just solo/duo.

Yeaup. I think he meant Draft Pick.

Why do people think Dynamic Queue & the new champ select are the same thing?

No idea, but they do.

The new champ select doesnt seem to give any weight to primary/secondary outside of sorting roles in premades (where they will stack roles to guarantee certain ones).

It's really frustrating if you're trying to practice /play a specific role, and it happens to be more popular than your secondary choice.

Because queue times.........

Team builder's queue times were the same, if not shorter. The only difference now is that you may or may not get the role/champion you want.
