Why Am I Playing Against This

First lemme explain what you are looking at.

From match making of course this match was created. Was you can see our team consists of high bronze, low silver and an unranked. However, the enemy team consists of Silver across they are all silver and have some higher ranking silvers on the team. Not only that, 2 of the players on their team are a duo which means they are using something like team speak to communicate. From match making my team looks statistically worse

Not only that you can look at the circumstances of the match. We have two players that were going to be up for promotion to the next rank if our team won. Do you realize what I am getting at? Seeing that our team had members that needed to win to be up for promotion because we had higher lp. If he look at the enemy team, even if they are all silver have a duo and are close to getting to gold. None of their players are close or a game away to being up for promotion.

What I believe is that when someone is a game away from promotion or has higher lp. They are paired up against statistically better opponents (such as being a higher ranked ) but the enemy team has no one close to promotion and have lower lp. have lower lp. If no one on your team is close to promotions or just has low lp you will be matched against statistically worse players.

Tl;dr: Matchmaking puts you against statistically better players (enemy being higher ranked or putting you with an unranked) if you have higher lp or are a game away from promotions. If you have low lp despite your rank you will be placed against statistically worse players in rank so you have a higher chance of winning.

Edit: Link doesn't work for some reason. Anyway the importants point are Jayce and 84 lp and I had 89 and our zed was unranked. They as individuals had low lp but high rank. The higher lp on their team was the silver 4 mastery yi and 70 lp.
