Taliah needs to chain her combo to do decent damage and good players can easily avoid her damage. Also because TF is better than Taliah in almost every way. Easy to hit skill shot q (while not getting punished by using it), reliable stun rather than taliah's knock up that miss most of the time, synergy with lichbane, more reliable ganking ultimate that gives vision. The only thing that Taliah got on TF is better zoning with unraveled earth, and potential to block enemy with ultimate.

Every time I see Taliah (which is pretty rare) I feel it's a troll pick. I'd seriously rather have urgot on my team than her.

That's a good question. In my mind, anything she can do another champion can do better. Maybe ppl saw Faker and Bejorsen play her lol. Any Taliah mains have any idea why she's picked in LCS?

Bc taliyah is awful and has no potential for carrying her team. TF has an abundance of carry potential. Plus he has a point & click stun every 4 seconds. Its an easy choice

You see Taliyah more because her Q gives her more mobility and her other two spells are strong AoE abilities. Also her W is useful against dashers like Renekton, Lee Sin, and other mobile champs. TF, is just to immobile, but he is still very good outside of competitive. Also Taliyah's ult is good for protecting turrets or cutting off a team. Taliyah has more utility, and that is valued more than TF's single target burst. Competitive is just a different style of play, doesn't mean TF is completely replaced by her. It is a difference of needs.
