Can Morde PLEASE have Rift Herald as pet too?

Just let him go top. EDIT: also a great thing would be to move half the damage of the monster ghosts' autoattacks into an on-hit effect. This way they'd still champs as hard, but wouldn't push as hard. This way, you pick Morde knowing that you won't be that good at taking objectives - UNLESS he has the enemy ADC's ghost.

I'd rather remove the dragon ghost, buff his stats and give him a proper single target W. Then again that's just me.

Im with you on the single target damage aura thing again. It WAS the original idea of his skill to be able to be put on someone else as well as giving Mordekaiser an aura, much like Nunu W.

Me too, but if they want to keep that... this one is melee, and we would just have to swap half the damage from the autoattack to an on-hit.

But then they wouldn't be able to name his passive "Dragon Force"

Dealth4 votes

NO. That thing is SO much stronger than dragon. If this were possible you would have to nerf the stats a ton.

Just cut the damage in half. It is extremely easy to kite still.

Have it deal half damage as on-hit so it doesn't hit turrs as hard. Champions can just kite.

Irelia "Morde this is maddness" Mordekaiser "Maddness.... THIS IS SUMMONERS RIFT" kicks Irelia into pick of nerfs

inb4 Malicious Metal shows up explaining why this is amazing and should absolutely be implemented. In which case i agree.

DevilishMetal2 votes

I feel there are other ways to get him top. Dragon takes up enough of his power budget already.

I suggest for both ghosts to have them deal only 50% of their AD on autoattacks and instead deal the other 50% as on-hit, aka, not working against turrets.

Penta Penguin2 votes

And then Morde gets "power budgeting" to the rest of his kit in order to accommodate this gimmick which leaves him at a 0% play-rate in any lane

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Or simply. as I said elsewhere, move for both ghosts half the damage from AD to on-hit so it can't push turrs as hard.

It better provide something different than just a ghost that walks around and can tank turrets. (No one would go in melee range of it) Because it is melee and doesnt fly around and wreck like the dragon ghost it would suck being a standard ghost. So it should be either a protection buff or additional sieging.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Do you realise it's tankier than a lategame Sion? And turrets can't kite, it hits like an ADC in melee range.

Fadedpf2 votes

Cant determine anything without it actually being tested but I feel like any mage or adc could freely auto and cast spells at it while minions/turrets kill it as well. Unless Morde is left alone splitting top it might be lack luster.

Just click it and see its stats. I'm pretty sure that it's basically a lategame Garen.

Nechronia1 votes

Don't forget that Morde gets some of his ghosts stats, so having the Herald is already a massive buff to him.

Not for Drake so not fo Herald either.

Super tanky ghost and baron buff, rip top turret.

I think they want to give him the option to go top lane through just raw buffs (all the upcoming buffs) but they still want morde bot to be an option through dragon ghost. Giving him rift herald as a ghost too kinda undermines that.

Not saying you should or shouldn't, I'm just saying why I think riot would be hesitant to do so

The solution would be to have both ghosts deal half damage through autoattack and half through on-hit (not applicable to turrets)

OK this might sound cool on paper and all but think about how this could be in game. You already have a baron buff that helps you push and now you basically have a dragon ghost on top of it. With turrets being weak as they already are that could essentially mean you can get two turrets with this. I want Morde to be able sololane but this can be really abused. The baron buff you get from the Rift Herald should be sufficient enough as it is.

They're buffing turrets in 5.23 and potentially again if necessary.

  • Bugfixing their scaling resists
  • Adding some HP.
Owltears1 votes

The buff it could give is like a kalista ghost, he commands it where to go and it reveals the area for a set time. But dies like a revealed ward I assume.

Nechronia1 votes

The problem is that that would mean an even bigger snowball than Morde already gets with drag. Just imagine getting pushed out of lane once and then coming back to see morde pushing down your lane with a mini baron buff AND a really powerful ghost, not to mention that as a top laner you only have one, usually melee character to fight it off.

Lugg1 votes

That is actually a good idea. Thumbs up.

Spoofghoul1 votes

Lol when i started this when herald was announced ppl started bitching about it...

But ill upvote this cos i think he should be able to enslave riftherald. This would make Topkaiser and Midkaiser better.

ThePartyLeader1 votes

Umm if you give the herald buff to say someone other than morde. Then morde takes herald ghost to another lane. Doesn't this just end the game barring a terrible mistake or your team being far behind?

NGNL Asian1 votes

I really really don't want this to happen. Mordekaiser with dragon pet is already my enemy. Making a rift guardian pet would be op, because it's going to lead to the development of a Baron pet.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Baron can't move and if it moved it would have to take his whole tail out of the pit and he would be unbelievably big and everyone wouldget stuck.
