Put a ground indicator BEHIND Yasuo's tornado

Before you killerino me, I don't mean like Tahm's that shows where it's going. I just mean something that marks the route already taken by the bottom of the tornado (the actual hitbox), because for some of us it's unbelievably hard to understand where those pseudo-3d animations are actually going.

Yes, we're not normal, it's a neurological issue. But we exist. And there's a colorblind mode for people who are colorblind. So can't we have something as basic as a simple drawing on the ground behind very tall skillshots like Yasuo and Janna's tornados?

EDIT: for context, some paint AHRT http://i.imgur.com/vvsreUH.png?1

I completely agree with this....the native angle of the camera + the 3D implication makes it nearly impossible to get a good grasp on the direct trajectory of the killnado. I aways find myself thinking "Did I really dodge that?" when it misses me and "No way that hit me" when it lands, because it is so hard to tell where it is going. I mostly look at Yasuo and notice where he is facing to predict the nado's trajectory.

MFW I try to go above a horizontal aiming tornado and still get hit because depth perception on the very tall skill shots is very hard to grasp (as a mental image I am referring to where you are "behind" the tornado in the perspective of the camera).

People seem to lack basic comprehension, so I'm going to help OP out a bit. http://i.imgur.com/83LhvGH.png?1 http://i.imgur.com/hgaBaj9.png?1 ("here's some more drawing" please ignore that minor lapse in brain function") As you can tell, I have no respect for Yasuo as a champion, as I kill them on all sight. as long as it's not a line that shows where it's going but instead a line to show where it has been, i'd be fine with this

Stand Alone Wolf2 votes

So let me see if I understand this.

Say for example, Illaoi's q, Blitz pull, or any move where you have to click the key before right clicking the enemy to get the attack to go off is along the lines of what you want to see from his tornado. If this is the case, then with his tornado being mouse location+q (If that's for his tornado) wouldn't that mean they'd have to change his q to: key press+left click? If I remember correctly, didn't his q, or tornado go off just from clicking q, & going into the direction your mouse was? it's not point, & click, it's click right? So if that's the case, then you're asking to make his q activate after clicking with the mouse, instead of being instant then?

Please do correct me if I'm wrong, as this isn't really a statement, but a question.

Stand Alone Wolf1 votes

If that's the case, then that would also mean your tornado path indicator would be up, along with your q (before tornado is available) the whole game then since you don't have to click with mouse with it being instant activation, & all.

Baunjo1 votes

Yeah I'm pretty sure thats just smart cast

Stand Alone Wolf1 votes

Well i've never had smart-cast on, & when I used him, & click q, he instantly thrusts his sword in the direction of my mouse. Are you saying that his q doesn't go off after clicking q, but after you verify where you want to attack with the mouse click?

Baunjo1 votes

Nevermind, I am probably mistaken because I smartcast literally everything. If you have smart cast OFF, it will first put out the arrow that you would normally see if you hover over the ability before you actually use it. Only after clicking will the ability actually work.

Spizzle90001 votes

No, it's a permanent smart cast unless you manually click the Q skill on the screen and then click again.

Yasuo's third Q is just like his others in terms of casting except that it shows a max range indicator to you. All you do is hit Q and the whirlwind goes where the mouse is pointed.

Stand Alone Wolf1 votes

That's right!

So then have the path indicator pop up once ult becomes available, & then disappear after the timer ends, or the move has been used. I see now.

Spizzle90001 votes

You mean like have the enemy be able to see which direction you're firing your Q if your ult is up?

Stand Alone Wolf1 votes

lol, no! wtf?

Spizzle90001 votes

Sorry I can't even words. I was thinking that would be insanely unfair. Sorry to bother you, but could you please rephrase? I'm easily confused ^^;

theArtifacts3 votes

He means after the Yasuo casts the ability have a path indicator trace the path of the tornado so you can estimate its intended destination.

Spizzle90001 votes

Ah thanks. I'm not a fan. If this is a problem colorblind people have, then I'd be okay with them putting that in for the colorblind mode (is there one?) but I don't support its implementation for everyone else to see though.

I mean, it makes sense to a degree, but I don't think most people need it, ya know?

Spaceman5pff2 votes

Maybe just a visual torn path in the ground (following the tornado) that lasts for maybe 2 seconds or something?

I am not colorblind and also have issues with Yasuo and Janna in this regard

theArtifacts1 votes

This would be great. And Yes I agree with it - it's no different than say blitz' hand or thresh's hook. I also agree that unless you practice against a Yasuo or Janna it can be difficult to interpret the direction of the tornado.

Photos of Ghosts2 votes

There's a colorblind mode, and this is not an issue with color blindness. Color blindness (in most cases) is due to misshaped proteins in the eye's receptors. I'm talking about neurological issues with shapes and stuff. You see, the brain is not like a screen receiving from a camera. The eye is exactly like a digital camera, but what we actually see is more like a flash animation based on the image from the camera. The brain has to represent the shape and movement of the objects, not just put down dots of color. Not everybody has the same ability to tell how wide the bottom of something that's very tall is. There's actually a lot of people that are confused by tornados and other skillshots that hover above the ground / cover their own bottom.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

And why wouldn't you support it? You know the game's mechanics are in 2d right? So you know how everything that happens above the ground is just visual noise. It's nice for thematics, but why would you disagree with making clear what the part that matters from a gameplay standpoint is?

Stand Alone Wolf1 votes

From what I said previously, I meant once his Tornado ability becomes available after the second q, that the radius, or circle that appears around you includes a path indicator like . . . Gnar's boomerang toss which shows you, & only you the path it will travel before activating it with left-click. Then you could click q, & see the path it would travel. Apparently what I was thinking though wasn't what everyone else was talking about.

[zombie-brand-clap]

Spizzle90001 votes

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I personally think it'd make sense for the colorblind, but not many others imo.

Photos of Ghosts11 votes

Nothing related to casting, just an indicator for the enemy.

Du Ma Mi10 votes

You're missing the point - he isn't talking about PLAYING Yasuo and asking for range indicators; he's asking for two little lines on the ground showing where the tornado's path was, so that he can dodge it easier, since he can actually tell the direction as opposed to walking in one direction and praying.. Being colourblind can mess with your vision when seeing these kind of 3-D effects in a functionally 2-D setting, so it's just for clarity when playing against the Yas, so he understands where the Bitchnado is headed a little easier.

Stand Alone Wolf2 votes

Oh, alright.

rtbf2256182412 votes

I can agree with this 100%. I don't have any vision issues or anything but it is VERY hard to see what path the tornadoes are taking unless you're using Forecast Janna, which uses a Brown, dustier tornado and is relatively easy to see where it goes.

Sidewayzz2 votes

PLEASE I NEED THIS SO BAD!

Honestly though this would help so much just like after it starts traveling just a little line that maps out the rest of the path would be so helpful.

Ahri gets meHard2 votes

Yasuo tornados are the easiest thing to dodge in the game. Why?

Photos of Ghosts5 votes

As explicitly stated in the post, they're too tall. Imma make a small paint asswork for you to understand

Watch riot make it happen but then grow its hitbox and projectile speed by 250%

Athenes Lulu2 votes

Don't forget Janna

Joe Dredd1 votes

get over it.

Spaceman5pff3 votes

Get over YOURSELF.

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Why? Why should the game remain unclear when it can be made clear? "Oh I got hit cause rofl" "Oh I'm too skilled I dodged that... NOT, I'm just lucky as heck"

Joe Dredd1 votes

why doesnt every single skill shot in the game have a range indicator then?

Photos of Ghosts2 votes

Tut tut tut. Did I say range indicator? No, I didn't. Read again.

More like, read for the first time.

Chris Rivξn1 votes

he is very vulnerable to cc and also has low base hp.the start ad was nerfed and is extremly hard to play against most of fighters or juggernauts. so i think it would be fair to remain how it is.

Photos of Ghosts2 votes

I'm talking about clarity. Like, being actually able to use the game as it's supposed to be used.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

I am with you on this one as with the large skillshots it is hard to tell where they are REALLY going. Are they going at like 45 degrees or 50? These look very close to the same based on the visual on the tornado so if I guess wrong chances are I WILL get hit by the edge of the tornado (which as you have stated before is really like twice the width of the bottom of the visual).

Spaceman5pff3 votes

This is not about nerfing yasuo, but rather making the game visually possible to understand at a glance

Mr Miguel1 votes

All he wants is it to be Xerath ability where it (or used to havent seen him in a while) shows the lines beside to make it more clear where the hit box is keep in mind there is problems with that as it passes where it says it should be

Photos of Ghosts3 votes

Less than that, just where it ALREADY passed, just showing which part of the tall tornado is the one that matters.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

I believe he wants to know where it has been so you have a PRECISE angle of trajectory of where it is going as opposed to trying to decipher the width and angle of where the "3D" tornado is going in a 2D world (Depth Perception < Yas Tornado visual).

Mr Miguel1 votes

OR you could just dodge it and not try to dodge it by the distance of your nose hairs.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

Let me dodge the 375 radius tornado with my 325 MS Viktor by more than a nose hair. It is is not an easy skill shot to dodge by more than a nose hair on a lot of immobile mid laners so do not act like I can be 500 units away from the tornado by the time it would've reached me.

Delphinium1 votes

Please do it for Janna too

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

And not only that

Spaceman5pff1 votes

Same for Janna Pl0x

Photos of Ghosts1 votes

Yes, and ideally any sort of skillshot that hovers above the ground / covers its own bottom (Nida spears probably)

Kr1sys1 votes

Janna's is the same way too.
