Slight but necessary change for Kassadin

Hey, Riot. If you're reading this, I hope you take this suggestion into serious consideration, because I really do believe it is necessary. The recent change to archangels made it so that you don't gain a lot of AP from the item until it is fully stacked. Can you please change Kassadin's Nether Blade so that the activation can build up tear stacks? Because it doesnt build up tear stacks, it takes him a lot longer to get seraphs. It didn't matter very much before, but now, after the changes to archangels, it matters a lot. You've done it for Taliyah on PBE by making her Q cost 1 mana instead of 0 on worked ground, so can you please do it for Kassadin too? Thanks!

I doubt they would. This would be the equivalent to allowing Jayce and Nidalee's transformations to stack tear again.

If it doesn't cost mana it shouldn't charge tear.

This is true and most likely the reason costless abilities will never grant Tear stacks.

This was also applicable prior to Ashe's Q rework, where her Old Q was a toggle that switched on/off frostshot on-hit. When Q was toggled, it granted a stack for Tear. Sure there's a cooldown to tear but that didn't stop it form stacking quickly.

If anything I think he'd need a small buff to his spell shield and passive.

Ashe's toggle also cost mana per hit, which was why it stacked tear

It's actually not the equivalent. The reason those abilities are manaless is because they are necessary to access the those champions' other abilities. Because of that, they'd be easy to spam and get fast tear stacks. Kassadin's W is manaless because it's function is to generate additional mana. There's no reason why it shouldn't generate tear stacks.

Don't see why not. Literally anything to get me to maybe play him again would be nice.

Watch out though some people are still convinced he is not bad even though he has a 46% WR, the 3rd lowest of all champs.

He is really good right now. You just have to know how to play him. Even while azir was one of the best competitive picks, he had one of the worst solo queue win rates. Because only people in high elo knew how to use him properly. Ryze and taliyah are top competitive picks with bottom tier win rates. Solo queue win rates don't have anything to do with how good a champion is, unless they are abysmally low.

46% WR in diamond+ but ok only high elo people know how to play him.

Plus the entire kassadin subreddit will not stop bitching about how bad he is.

And honestly, you saying taliyah and ryze are competetive picks is completely irrelevant, is kassadin a competetive pick?
