We did the same thing with Rengar's bola shot, and now Rengar is actually somewhat balanced. I'm not saying this will fix all the issues with Shaco, but at least he requires some skill to play now, instead of relying on the broken fear and stealth mechanics.

Stop twisting my words. I never said shaco didn't take skill. I said the MECHANICS in his kit didn't take skill (some of them). Controlling his clone takes skill, but that's it.

Clearly a shaco main. Part of his kit takes skill (his ult clone). The rest of it does not. What part of this do you not understand?

I don't even main him and I cringed. Shaco has a massive skill cap. There's always more to learn.

insaiyanbacca5 votesok i can understand why you could see his stealth as broken but his fear? pretty much every fear in the game is fairly balanced except maybe fiddle's because point click instant. and fyi playing shaco relies on knowing how the enemies kits work so he takes alot of time to learn to use right.

Lee Sin and Zed threads puke all over the boards with people saying OMG 2 STRONK NURF... Why doesn't Riot listen? Their win rates are sub 50% in low elos, what does that tell you? People think they are easy, when in fact they have a VERY high skill cap.
The difference between a passable Shaco and a Great One is victory, end of story. Good Shaco's counter jungle, gank hard and often. Bad Shaco's afk farm and are useless late game because he falls off. Again - your ignorance in asking for a nerf is what killed your discussion at the get go.

You do realize that Shaco is one of, if not the squishiest champion in the game right? Makes sense since he has a flash every 9 seconds with invisibility, but that still requires a good amount of knowledge and intuition to use correctly (Do you use it to get in, or do you use it to get out? Etc.).
That alone by virtue requires that the player be skilled in using him, you need to absolutely think about when you go for a target since you will get blown up.
I hate to be that type of dude, but yes the above posters are correct, you've clearly have never played or even tested Shaco out before if you think the only part of his kit that requires skills is his clone.
He's fine the way he is; strong early game, weak late game, weak team fight, strong split pushing. He has his clear strengths and weaknesses, no need to toy around with it.
A good Shaco is probably one of the most frustrating things to play against, rightfully so since he has such a high skill cap.

Takanuva1 votesI've played alot of shaco ever since early s4, and with shaco, there is alot that you can plan to do that can go wrong with shaco, his shiv makes a great finishing move. the fact that it has ap scaling, backstab, and decent base damage is the ace in shaco's sleeve. you make that a skill shot and you drastically hit shaco harder. shaco already has lots of counterplay to him. the point and click e is a sure thing. taking that away wouldnt break him, but life would be hella lot harder. i cant tell you how many times ive gotten a kill becuase its point and click. besides, if you position incorrectly, being a point and click wont help you as much as a skill shot irregardless
