This is kind of broken. His sustain, mobility, and damage are way too high, ignoring the part where his ult is basically AoE Vi ult.
It's impossible to trade with him once he has Trinity Force, because he can chunk ~50% of your health, and there's no way to avoid or play safely against him.

You should have plenty of strength by then as well
A Randuin Omen is 1k cheaper and would easily nullify him or a Brutalizer + Randuin should be enough to duel him

Hecarim can out-duel an Irelia with even farm. You can't duel him, and even if you could, his mobility and sustain is too consistent and high to actually get the kill.

HeadCrusher1 votesthen dont pick irelia... I was starting to try out Hec top, my first lane was against irelia with shaco jung and I destroyed them 2v1 all the time... but then i lost to a malphite and a nasus(could just have been me being bad) so i just stopped playing him top.
Wizzleboom1 votesI would just pick AP Nasus and instant wave clear his ass so hard he couldn't farm. Even under his turret you just unload and chunk him.
Downside is the jungle will have a gank boner for you.
