Why is it on items which are going to be bought no matter what

Every mage with an IQ above -10 buys morellonomicon Every ADC with an IQ above -10 buys Lastwhisper

This is a stupid situation

And yes i know the Morello grievous wounds has a condition, then again most mage are aoe focused so it comes down to are you above 35% hp or not if not, well guess ur fucked now mate

Anyway can't something like grievous wounds have it's own items it's attached too rather then being thrown on something which is kinda mandatory and around every game on one or multiple players

Grievous wounds is very powerful vs a lot of champions and even certain builds. It completely shuts them down, now im fine with a counter to healing being around but could it at least come at a cost rather then just being a thing every carry champ walks around with every game

just makes no sense to me, it's about as stupid a situation as giving every ap item an equal amount of armor because basic attacks are oppressive . . .

item 3033 is only gonna be built against healing, so if it's built, then congrats, the ADC doesn't get the 10% extra damage bonus against anyone with >500 health more than them from item 3036.

Not every mage builds item 3165 since some mages get little to no benefit from the item, though it is the most used and overall strongest AP item so I get what you are saying. Personally, I feel it wouldn't hurt to take the GW off of it and make a new item...as long as there is a component that applies it kind of like how item 3123. The sad thing is that item 3165 would still be such a strong item and still be considered like the best AP item even without the GW so it wouldn't even need any compensation buffs.

Yea that is exactly my point

these items are such must buys and are powerful enough without grievous wounds

i find grievous wounds more of a utility stat comparable to let's say item 3071's armor shred

It should have it's own item

Yeah, I still hate grievous wounds. It just isn't a good mechanic for this game, in my opinion. Riot has talked about getting rid of it before, and I'm not sure what's stopping them. It's bad. And we could really use a game without it.
