Could we get some more distinction please?

So I've seen some posts and I'm curious. Why are mages and supports easily exchangeable? I mean the tank support (Leona Braum ThreshTaric Alistar) can only really go bottom (with a few exceptions of course.) But then we have AP/Damage/poke things supports who can easily go mid. Morgana Lux Lulu and sometimes Zyra. As of late though I have seen plenty of mages simply going bottom to effectively be assholes, champions like Velkoz Brand Malzahar the list goes on.

I'm asking that we establish what sort of champions are actually made for certain roles. (Looking at you eve.) Ah Evelyn, such a great example of a champion with a single role. She does jungle pretty well and has no use elsewhere. Why can't we apply this to supports? I want to know why riot won't turn down mage supports damage, or turn the mid mages utility down to discourage them from playing mid. Because if they're going mid or support permanently one of these is gonna have to happen.

So if we say.... put Sona Soraka Lulu Zyra Morgana Janna Nami Lux in the form of support. They'll get overall better base damages more hp and some minor armor/mr buffs, but inversely we'll see there scaling almost disappear.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because supports should never be deemed "good" because they can 100-0 the enemy ADC 1v1. I think mage/utility supports really need to make them lockdown plays and ASSIST their marksman by supplementing damage.

(I'm also tossing around ideas for making it impossible to buy both lich bane and frost queens.)

Alright, I've just made every lux player in existence infuriated, k I get it. We can keep her mid..... for now....

But hey I'm just speaking my mind, and you can too. / / / / / Let's see just how toxic y'all get eh?

                                                                                                                                                                                                        ~~~~heheheheh
Lux is and has always been a mid pick not a support pick... and even now isn't a great support. The reason why people take champions down bot that aren't traditional supports is because it's usually a lot better to pick a champion that you know how to play to be a support then to try and play someone your not good at. Also most the champions that aren't traditional supports usually have some way to cc or help there team and have good base damage. The supports people put mid are usually there because they have good base stats so they can bully the enemy early game and then use there utility late game to help there team.
