Smite just implemented an early surrender mechanic in the case of a DC'd player.

>If someone disconnects before the game even starts, and doesnt return for 5 minutes, then the team with 4 players can surrender after 5 minutes with only half the team voting yes to surrender. Losing team loses only half TP(DC'd player loses full tp) and the winning team will get full TP.

Ball's in your court, Rito.

IF THAT IS YOUR REAL NAME!

SMITE is a better game in my opinion

another implementation riot doesn't have is an offline mode, something Dota II delivers

I hate dota's interface, but it would be nice to be able to practice without a server disconnecting me or someone ending the game early in bots

They gave some really stupid reason for not having a sandbox mode lol. It was actually laughable.

Could be abused most likely (one person with little to lose leaves to help his buddies when things go south in the very early game, or someone suddenly wants to not play for whatever reason) though I'd like some sort of feature like it. Main thing would be to make sure it doesn't count as a win or loss in a promotion series, except for the one that left.

They should also keep track of who was on their team, and if it's consistent behavior, give those doing it together some sort of punishment.

I don't think so, Tim.

Unless the person is omniscient, he's not gonna know when he should or shouldn't just not connect.

everything is abuseable. but tht doesnt change the fact that we need this implemented for the REAL dcs,

Okay sure. Would have made my last game where someone didn't connect for 15 minutes, and we didn't surrender still end quicker, maybe. Didn't register that you meant only when they never connect in the first place.

Love that this was implemented somewhere.

So another developer was able to figure out in under two years what Riot hasn't figured out for the better part of a decade?

Yeah, that sounds about right. How long before Smite gets a sandbox mode? Or does it already have it?

It has something very similar.

You don't get to play with other people or play on the main map, but you do get to try out gods (champs) before you buy them. You can also level yourself up as much as you want, you can make builds due to the nearly infinite gold it gives you, you can try attacking jungle camps, Ra (An AI god), practicing different lane tactics and the such. It's pretty nice.
