@Riot, can we please get a lot of transparency with the Immobile Mages (particularly Vel) update?

As well as a lot of respect toward the objections and alternate ideas and opinions coming from as a polar opposite to how you treated the Juggernaut reworks?

On release, Skarner was broken (he's now pretty trash tier), Morderkaiser was broken (he's now pretty trash tier). Darius and Garen came out on the strong side but are relatively balanced nowadays. So from what was meant to be some revolutionary patch for the Juggernaut class, you ended up with a 50% success rate. Not exactly something to be proud of.

You killed a lot of what was unique about Skarner and Morde and compensated for it with toxic, broken gimmicks which you were later forced to heavily tone down. You could say the same about Quinn except the was re-release pretty 'meh', then broken, then nerfed again a patch later back into 'meh' tier. At the cost of her entire Valor kit.

Please don't have it in your heads at any point during any of the tweaks or reworks for Immobile Mages that you've reached the point of no return. Even if it's made it to PBE. If you turn, for example, Vel'Koz or Anivia into generic mages, be prepared for community backlash asking you to revert the changes and either come up with something different, or leave them alone.

I agree to a point. I mean, Riot gave us a bunch of info about the Morde rework and what not 1 or 2 patches prior to it coming to live (though, I guess most of it was unofficial/via surrender@20 via PBE and its game files). But even so, a lot of Mordekaiser mains immediately lost their shit but Riot swept all of their complaints and suggestions under the rug or just flat-out ignored them.

I just hope they don't mess up any of the mages I've always loved playing - even as a non-Mid main. I get the likes of Malz and Vel often enough in ARAM to have a decent understanding and distinct attachment to the champs for what they are and how they function. They only reason Vel'Koz isn't played in LCS is because nobody really jumped on the bandwagon - not to mention he was released at a time where some really nasty assassins and burst mages were running rampant.

Guys it takes months to do this and they recently decided that they'll focus on mages. They haven't talked about which mages because they're probably still in the brain storming phase.

Wait a few months.

I just want assurances that loyal player-bases aren't gonna get shafted again.
