Sooooo why is this a problem when it happens to top lane, but the past few months of bruisers and mages taking over botlane was just adcs crying?

Urgot is played mid. Sion i never see mid anymore. and viktor was a mid laner normally lol. But is still a lane bully top.

Aatrox Chogath Irelia Jayce Riven Renekton Urgot Vladimir are the top laners that I have seen go mid, though yes some are very very rare but they do pop up in there. I also seen Nocturne mid a few times as well.

for example, Illaoi can go mid but is usually better top due to having poor roaming

viktor was a thing in top

ashe was part of the reason for the mobility creep by her part in top lane and even bottom lane

Mages can move top, but most of them take a big risk to do so, especially if the opponent has an auto attack reset ability, which is the majority of top lane

Have not seen a single one of these as support ever. Swain briefly got some spotlight as APC and that's about it.

I mean, i still haven't seen any of them top either. All i see these days is pretty much Tryndamere, Riven, Aatrox and Rengar with the odd Shen and Ornn.

I also don't play all that much nowadays. Definitely don't remember Cassio or Lissandra top, maybe Neeko. Seen plenty of Vlads, Quinns, some Vaynes, the odd Teemo...

Currently i'm much more worried that me pointing out that Sona's AP scaled E is bonkers in the most recent prominent Sona thread is directly responsible for the AP scaling on it getting cut in half on PBE. Like, how do i show myself in front of the rest of the Sona mains now?

lets say its true, its just symptom of bad balance decisions: support get cucked naturaly only other viable choice is mage, karthus in jung is cheese and can be super easily shut down, mid is assassins haven and top is result of nevererding QQ OMG TANK OP NERF so if you are not bruiser player mage is your to go option, especialy if they have tool do deal with fighters. Riot effectively nerf two classes to the ground and vacant places are filled by best other option under circumstances, what is your solution? gut another class? revert tons of changes to return tanks and supports to the game?

Karthus can be shut down in jg true. But if your defending mages. I can easily prove to you that their items are overstat. Compared to other classes items. Lets take item 3135 v item 3036 look at pen difference. Void: 40% pen now lord doms: 35% gold difference: void: 2650 gold lord doms: 2800 damage difference: void 70 AP lord doms: 45 AD Now lets look at tank items v mage items. HERE ill i can prove that tanks have no good items vs mages. Mages have better items against EACHOTHER than a tank v mage. BANSHEES VEIL most magic resist items only have 55 MR. banshees WHICH GIVES DAMAGE AND A SPELL SHIELD has 60 MR. Tanks are op against AD champions. Look at the different options for them. Against AP the best they have is Adaptive helm. And very champion dependent spirits visage. Look against ad champions and those items. Frozen heart. 100 armor. 20% cooldown reduction. 400 mana. and an AOE attack speed cripple than onlly needs to be in range for it to affect an ad champ. Thornmail. THE MOST BUSTED OF ALL ARMOR ITEMS well. most people say atleast. 80 armor. 250 hp. Greivous wounds and damage when attacked. as well as attack speed slow when attacked. THIS IS WHY BRUISERS THINK TANKS ARE OP they win lanning cause they have higher base damages to account for them building full tank. And bruisers not having a pen item. they have little to no way of fighting a tank. yes right now jax is broken. BUT thats only because of items. SPEAR OF SHOJIN jax has always been item reliant. people hate mages CAUSE NOONE HAS A GOOD WAY OF FIGHTING THEM!! adcs, ad assassins and bruisers all get coutered by really strong tank items. While the most a tank can buy against a mage is adaptive helm. and sometimes spirit visage depending on if they heal or not. Ad in general has less pen than mages. I COULD BE WRONG this is just how i see it.

It is completely relevant, and bruisers bot had something like a 6% combined play rate. Mages bot had something like 10% combined play rate.

If mages are moving top, which i doubt highly, its because theyre like vikky and function entirely as counterpicks to the meta remnants.

I describe bruiser as more durable than a fighter but gives up some damage to achieve this durability and is not as bulky as a tank

former bruisers include: jax, mordekaiser, Darius DrMundo etc

though we've recently had bruisers split off into the juggernaut type which was later added and made sense for the game, at least in a sense despite that pure number advantages have always been a problem, so, juggernauts were supposed to be champions that had good numbers but gimmicks or weaknesses that kept their power in check

I can’t believe bot lane had like 8 bruisers viably picked at one stage. 6 bruisers were played in the last pro game, all 4 of them completely dominating ADC + supports. So glad Riot nerfed both bruisers so none of them would show up in bot lane.

bruisers and fighters could always beat marksmen unless they were completely immobile, but now with towers being paper (at least after the outer turrets), there's only so much incentive for the marksman class

ADCarry used to be mandatory because if you did not have an AD class , you could not properly push into the opponent's base

this is the reason that the tank meta (when it actually existed) lasted for only about a month or so, because 4 durable champions(since the definition of tank has changed) would run with a marksman and just steam-roller their way to the nexus while you maybe kill two of them at most

this is nothing new, the game has just changed too drastically recently

Does it truly matter how long it took. The point is that why is it okay for top lane to complain about mages coming top lane, but when it was happening bot lane, ADCs were just being "whiny babies"? It really isn't fair in the grand scheme of things.

You didn't say anything about itemization, so when the thread and the post you responded to is about mages (and bruisers) going into other roles then how am I supposed to know that you're talking about itemization? I can't give a response appropriate to your critique if you don't give enough information that you're changing the topic from mages to items.

Edit: btw if we're talking about the marksman crit item changes. Those came out on May 31st in patch 8.11. So those changes lasted about 7 months before IE and ER were reverted.

and there's the problem. They're frail, you're supposed to bully THEM before they get whatever item lets them scale

fighter, bruiser and tank base stats are high enough to just rush the mage unless they're very careful, or if they're going for a tank build, they lose most of their scaling if not all of it

Vitkor wasnt even abusing them. He was using them properly, its just he was ranged and they were not. "tank viktor" was actually "IBG" viktor. At most he got IBG and an abyssal mask; he was still, always, above 700AP at full build.
