Yasuo doesn't have a mid game. He has a decent early and a great late though. His mid game is THE WORST part about playing Yasuo. You go from feeling good up until someone bases and backs. Then you meet a lul for 15-20 minutes while you farm up the gold for your core. He is 100% over-rated in terms of "OP." If anything he needs a buff to be on par with most mid laners nowadays. Though I kinda agree that his top lane is above par. Honestly, the item Frozen Mallet needs a heavy look at. It's the thing that's giving him free stats and giving the illusion it's the champion.
Once I see anyone complaining about Yasuo above Gold tier (minus Apdo, that was a VERY biased comment... coming from someone who mains champions that Yasuo is very good against.) then maybe I will consider him unbalanced. But both his numbers, and the ever increasing list of counters say very much otherwise. There must be a reason he becomes increasingly useless the higher you go up the ranks. He has a very small pool of people doing well with him consistently in higher tiers. Now champions like Lee Sin, are good across ALL tiers.
Long story short, Yasuo is easy to play, but hard to master. Wrecking people in bronze is simple once you get the hang of it, but pull yourself up against someone who knows what they are doing and you don't have the same success.
