Friend goes 7-3 in placements, plays support every game and got bronze 4

I can't believe this is still a thing people are whining about.

If you want a rank, you work for it, stop expecting to do your climbing in placements.

Also what does playing support have to do with it?

I went 6-4 playing support every game and got bronze 5 so sounds about right

alright bud, your placement relies heavily on what your last season rank was. Dont matter if you went 10/0 in placements, if you finished as bronze 3 or less, youre for sure getting stuck in bronze

it depends on last season for 1, and secondly even if your friend hadn't played ranked ever before their normal mode games up until lvl 30 would match them with people around their "skill level" when they played promos. So most likely they were playing with bronze people in promos.
