I mean honestly we have all said it. The snowball in this game is too damn high. You cAnnot go even or come back from one fuck up unless they fuck up. Even if you get ganked its over.

This is true in challenger where 1 mistake is huge. In bronze-diamond there's literally mistakes every second that you can easily come back from.

There is no Bronze. Only Challenger Smurfs lol

Dont underestimate bronze. The mixing pot of league is here, it really is. Anyone from new to the game j ust hit level 30 to diamond smurf is in this tier. 1 mistake can be huge and fatal in a game of bronze, while the next game you can easily come back from an outplay that your team mates see and capitalize on that in the last game the bonobo's didnt.

When I was deserving of bronze, the game put me in S5 lmao.

There are, however, people that purposely lose games just to stay in bronze. The most recent one I can remember is some guy posted his bronze account that had a 3% winrate, yet averaged like 30 kills as Yi. Because you know, losing on purpose isn't punishable lol.

Weasel Kensei3 votes

Oh no losing games on purpose is punishable... its just that dipshits in this game have their priorities backwards.

Whatever he was doing to lose the other matches... I assure you it went more like this:

Ahri (feeds intent 2 deaths in each lane by 14 minute mark, and 1 to jungle on purpose as well as consistantly waiting to take kills so the kill gold doesnt go to somone trying to win) Diana Ahri is intent feeding Ahri Toxic muted Diana Im toxic, no your intent feeding is toxic bruh. Elise DIANA STFU AND PLAY! Blitzcrank Dont be salty Diana, focus on your own mistakes Diana Ahri isnt making mistakes, shes FEEDING, thats her goal. A mistake would be living more than 2 minutes. Ekko Reporting Diana Blitzcrank Yeah super toxic Elise You guys are still talking to Diana? I muted her for toxic, so were reporting her now?

This is the way reports get sorted in Bronze. Feeding and being a troll is fine... so long as you dont call attention to it in the chat box... OH NO! That is what they think toxic is. Anyone who types more than 2 sentences in the chat about what the team should be doing or how a specific player can get better performance by doing X or building Y is salty/toxic.

Sorry, but dying 3 times is NOT intentionally feeding. If anybody flames for that he deserves to get punished (at some point).

People like to be the good guys and they can very well see that somebody isn't doing very well. On top of that not being intentionally feeding, that person calling it this and INSISTING they are in the right and that person deserves a punishment is in fact engaging in toxic behaviour. That's a justified backlash.

And there is a simple solution: stop being a cry baby. If somebody is intentionally feeding he won't be subtle about it. If somebody dies when he is behind, well, what do you expect him to do? Play safe? Too bad the enemy is far enough ahead to kill you under your turret if the jungler tanks one or two shots. Maybe he doesn't even need him. Maybe a single mistake, like stepping too far up and getting hit by a single skillshot means you're going to die. It is bound to happen.

Weasel Kensei2 votes

Congratulations! I made and example of a player that is intentionaly feeding. NOT SUSPECTED. My example says intent 2 times in each lane, and 1 to jg. Someone calls them out on it, and the other players bash the person who said something. YOURE MY EXAMPLE!

Youre sticking up for the troll in this case against the person who called it out... like I said people do, and its why you have people who are extreamly toxic in your games. Cause they do shit that should get them punished, but people like you are more concerned with the people who say "Hey X is doing Y." Thats the person you clowns report.

Theres some smurfs that purposefully try and go to bronze or they get on a friends account that is already bronze not to really boost them but just to play as it is and see if they can actually get out of hell or if it will take a tremendous amount of effort.

its true but the sad part is sometimes its not even ur one bad play it could be one of ur teammates. for ex bad tower dive bot jungler and support die boom adc has become useless will now sit in a corner and cry because now they get zoned and most likely will lose tower then dragon then the enemy bot lane will roam take mid and take top. they will never be able to come back into the game unless the other team makes a huge mistake

another instance u can come back is if u play any 1 of these ad's Jinx Vayne if u dont have those its gg cuz no other adc will snowball fast enough to catch up

its true but the sad part is sometimes its not even ur one bad play it could be one of ur teammates.

If you're already realizing that your own mistake can cost you dearly against a player who's paying attention and is ready to exploit your moment of weakness, why shouldn't be this the case for all your teammates?

From their perspective, it's them who are making a mistake and their opponent capitalizes on that. It's the same problem you face but relative to a person's point of view.

You are playing a team game which means your entire team has to homogenize. If there's a weakness in your team from a certain position, then the logical strategy for the enemy team should be to create an advantage for themselves by constantly capitalizing on your team's weakness. And if your team doesn't respond to their strategy (by baiting them into attacking or protecting the weak link), you're getting destroyed for this very reason.

There's no use in saying "i can't carry my team". You aren't the only target, you aren't the only champion worth gold. You all are. You don't have to die once in a game but the enemy can get completely fed off their asses if they collect gold from every other source. Which means you can't turtle your way to a victory if you're conceding every objective and giving all of the control to the enemy team. You can also gather a limited amount of gold, depending on your position so if the enemy is collecting way more gold as a team and spreads it to appropriate champions, your gold doesn't mean anything even if you're the best player on your team. You can't win the game all by yourself and by playing selfishly.

Down Smash7 votes

Why not adopt the badass sidekick mentality. Assume everyone is batman, you can be Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Oracle, or Red Robin. The list goes on. The point is, you can be the real hero while representing yourself as a sidekick. instead of being the guy who gets the credit for the massive number of kills, you can be the guy who made it possible, they one who took towers, the one who called for objectives, the one who caused the win via macro-play and objective focus. Yes, the reality is that you are batman, you are the hero, but in lower elo, you will not be recognized for seeing the big picture and playing to win. so let them think they are batman, and let your match history represent you as a player

Sadly there is no position which this is worse in than jungle. You lose objective control and it affects every lane.

rtbf7610927122 votes

um no it effects jungle the least since jungle is the one MAKING the plays. Even if you are behind and can't really do much, it's not like you die from your enemy laners trying to farm. You can hide away for a bit and farm up to try to come back

you mean invaded? not dived right? junglers are probably not getting dived under tower much

yes that is an issue but like most junglers have escapes to go over walls and while it sucks to get your camps stolen, I feel like the potential to die is still lower than trying to farm against fed laners and an active jungler

"Most junglers"

The following junglers have an ability that can go over a wall pre-6: Aatrox Amumu Ekko Elise Fizz Gragas Ivern JarvanIV Jax Khazix Kindred LeeSin Maokai MasterYi Pantheon Poppy RekSai Sejuani Shaco Shen Tryndamere Vi MonkeyKing Zac

Half of those require a target, so they can only go over a wall that has a monster on the other side (not over the wall if they get ganked while doing a camp) and have vision.

The following junglers cannot go over a wall pre-6: Camille Chogath DrMundo Diana Evelynn Fiddlesticks Graves Hecarim Kayle Malphite Nautilus Nocturne Nunu Olaf Rammus Rengar Shyvana Sion Skarner TahmKench Trundle Udyr Volibear Warwick

24 to 24, and again, not every champion can go over a wall blind, or go over a wall if they're inside a camp, or have their wall-traversing ability at level 2 when they get invaded.

I usually only lose dragon control if bot lane loses. It's really hard to un-f*ck their lane after they get doubled once.

I disagree. People who loose the laning phase, deserve to loose the game.

EDIT: Also, doublelifts quote refers to challenger. OP is in silver where the enemy team makes so many mistakes so you can comeback into a game. I'm curious as to why he is complaining? Maybe he thinks he stuck in silver because the game is so snowbally? Not trying to sound salty, this is actually what I think.

XinCrin3 votes

Whats up with the circle jerk? Do you think you deserve to win the game, if you cannot even win your own lane? If you make a mistake, the enemy should capitalize on that mistake and try to snowball that advantage. That's how the game is meant to be played. You shouldn't be able to fight the enemy unless they fuck up because that would mean the advantage would be useless.

Irelia Bot24 votes

The goal is the Nexus and the game is 5v5.

It is not a matter of winning lane but instead still being useful after laning in most cases.

Gregor Gysi7 votes

And I feel like it's never been less relevant to win your lane than right now - atleast when it comes to toplane. Nobody cares whether you win or lose your lane, the relevant stuff is happening around the drake and if you feed and roam chances are that you are more useful than if you get fed and bash your lane.

Awesomedude88885 votes

Meanwhile, botlane can be won or lost because a team decided to 4-man gank it while the other team just jacks off in their own lane or the jungle.

XinCrin2 votes

There not just jacking off in there own lane or the jungle. They should be shoving there lane and trying to push for tower. And yes, a bot lane can be won or lost because a 4 man ganked it because a whole team invested resource to give an advantage to the enemy bot lane.

Awesomedude88882 votes

They should be pushing, but they aren't.

MohawkBird2 votes

It is 10x harder trying to win with a team that is way behind than a team that is ahead. Call it a team game, but there is still a lot of emphasis on the game outcoming that depends on the lanes.

I disagree. People who loose the laning phase, deserve to loose the game.

Losing lane yes...making one mistake, even if small, no.

XinCrin1 votes

Are you agreeing with me that people should loose the game if they loose the laning phase?

Mistakes is what gets people to loose the lane. But its also about how the enemy capitalizes on those mistakes. Assuming they play the scenario right and an advantage through your small mistake, why shouldn't they be able to snowball the game?

AMYS GRAVE3 votes

Because other lanes should have the privilege of having some influence over how the game goes. No matter how perfectly i played my lane if our mid laner loses lane, then we lose without having any recourse. That's the problem with snowballing, games are decided by the worst player, not the best.

Kassimila1 votes

So you've never won a game where someone on the enemy team got fed? I find that hard to believe. If you played your lane perfectly you should be up 50 cs and be fed as well shouldn't you? "I didn't die, and my turret is still alive" isn't a measure of success. Also if you see someone having trouble say mid lane for example, what did YOU do about it? Did you roam mid to help him out?

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

So you've never won a game where someone on the enemy team got fed? I find that hard to believe. If you played your lane perfectly you should be up 50 cs and be fed as well shouldn't you?

Not since last season. And yes, because my lane being 3-0 50 CS lead doesn't compare to the enemies 80 CS lead and going 10-0 at 15 minutes.

Did you roam mid to help him out?

I play support, so often the answer to that is yes. The sad thing is that this loses games more often than wins them because by trying to roam to help out mid leaves my ADC to be either zoned off of farm or just straight up dove.

Kassimila2 votes

Well it's hard to 'carry' as a support, it's pretty reliant on your adc being decent. That being said there are a few tricks I've learned since I used to play a lot of support as well.

#1. When going to roam, either bring your adc with you, or roam when he backs. Or before you go back to lane. #2. If all your lanes feed, yer boned. If mid feeds, but top is doing well, and your adc is trash. You're now supporting top lane after lane phase is over. If you have an 0/5 adc or something, literally ignore him. Boost up the strong members of your team. #3. If you do choose to roam while standing in lane, don't let the bot lane SEE you leave. Wait for the creeps to be in the right place and sneak out the back. So they think you're still in the bush. Because you're 100% right, if I see the other support wander off I'm going in hard. A good way to set this up is to go stand in river bush for a bit every now and then, without leaving lane. Then when you do that and leave lane, they still think you're there.

Looking at your op.gg you get mobi's which are perfect for the roams. When you back if you just go straight to mid lane, you should be back to bot after your gank before your adc is there alone for a long time. I also find pinging them your intentions help. When playing adc it's hard to know if you're just leaving to ward, or leaving for a while.

Side Note for Braum: AS marks, and grasp are super good for the early game. I wouldn't recommend CotC on him.

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

All true and good advice.

i've been trying CotC on him for a bit to see how it works, and i have to say it is going better than i thought it would. I think i still agree that grasp is better but you make good bait as the enemy is trying to chase you for being low HP and your stun procs which gives you the shield as they are midway through committing for the kill on you. I've secured more than one first blood for my team that way.

As for AS marks i think i disagree here. The reason for AS marks is to proc your stun faster, but in general if you're playing support braum you wont be the one proccing your passive, it will usually be your adc who builds some attack speed naturally or sometimes your jungler. If you're playing AS braum top then sure, go for it and have a blast, but for support braum i would say the armor is more important in most situations.

Kassimila1 votes

You could go armor which is still solid, however the AS marks make his attacks so much smoother. Faster ward clears, and I've noticed much faster stun procs in the period of the game before your ADC gets a bunch of attack speed.

Meh, the problem is not when you made a BAD play and get punished for its true severity

The problem is when you don't make a bad play and you get punished for it, or you do a rather small mistake, and you are punished way beyond its severity

Copy pasting from another thread when I answered yesterday

http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/jTzxGxX2-ziggs-bot-has-shined-a-light-on-a-very-frustrating-issue

{quoted}

Let me start this post off by saying something. Ziggs botlane is refreshing, it's breathing new life into a stale botlane where the meta has stagnated.

The real question is why? Why do you play ziggs botlane?

  1. He is a pushing/harass god
  2. He is an amazing siege champion who can defend turret against multiple people
  3. He has self peel which makes it alittle easier to avoid ganks
  4. He can execute towers that helps him take lane quicker.

Number 4 is what I'm having issues with and I don't mean an issue with Ziggs, I mean an issue with botlane as a whole. 9 times out of 10 this is the first tower to fall and it will usually happen somewhere between 7-10 minutes in (At least that's what my experience has been on both sides of the spectrum.)

"Point 1 and 2 are a worse issue than point 4 if you are specifically talking about Ziggs and not about bot lane as a whole, BOT LANE WHICH REQUIRE A SEPARATED AND EXTENDED DISCUSSION

Actually in bot lane you can be in a situation in which you are actually winning lane vs enemy duo, and at a certain point it is enough you leave it for whatever reason in a wrong moment (back off with a slightly bad timing, back off after a gank or being 4 man dove, back off after taking a drake slower than usual because it was mildly contested or your mate delay a bit to help you take it) and your tower fall down despite not doing any major mistake, and this happen playing against ANY marksmen - not only Ziggs...while on the opposite side take down a lane becomes literally impossible if the enemy has little waveclear or your champ has slighlty subpar damage

Basically, it has becomed unreliable to understand/foresee how fast a turret will go down, and this thing can cause huge unbalance because paired with the minion "push buff" and first turret giving relevant amount of gold, it can literally swing the flow of the entire game on a whim in under 1 minute without anything substantial happening on the map other than a turret suddenly blowing up apparently out of nowhere for apparently no reason

The penultimate change to turrets in particular started the situation, and the last one, that supposedly made more reliable last hitting, made it even worse because had the paradoxical effect to make it less predictable the time needed to take down a tower

Once you fix this issue, you have solved most of the actual problems existing in bot lane, because it make more easy to evaluate how the single marksmen actually hold up in the current meta...and to be honest ADC are not so weak as most of people cry, that's not true at all, it is just you don't feel the "agency" (using Riot dictionary)"

All it takes is one bad play to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where he is. Just one bad play. You had a bad play once, am I right? I know I am. I can tell. You had a bad play and everything changed. Why else would you dress up as a smelly rat? You had a bad play, and it drove you as crazy as everybody else... Only you won't admit it! You have to keep pretending that this game makes sense, that there's some point to all this struggling!

Games a all about taking advantage of little mistakes as they build up over time and punishing big mistakes. Little mistakes like missing CS build up and big mistakes like poorly positioning and getting hooked and killed in lane are punished severly. A game is decided by the combination of who makes fewer mistakes and who punishes the mistakes of opponents more.

PS That is how sports work too. Throwing an interception and giving up a touch down on the resulting possession is the same as getting poked low, staying in lane, then getting killed.

Uh no, that's how you quote things, only if the actual quote applied to another idea or topic can something be out of context, using a quote in your own personal context, such as the game being too snowbally, is actually what quotes are designed for. Not just to quote endlessly the context and situation the quoted was in. This is almost all paraphrased and drawn from my college 101 college textbook which cost me a fuckton of cash, so take up your beefs with the english language.
