Draft pick strategy really needs to be improved to reduce the impact of counter-picks

The champion pool has reached a point where there are way too many hard counters, where a hard counter is a match where one side cannot win regardless of what they do, how well they play, or even if they get an early advantage.

Diamond+ games are often over before they even start, because one team counter-picks both of their solo lanes.

This really needs to be improved. Games where you're forced to pick a solo lane early, and then ending up thinking 'Wow, this match up is so bad that I'd rather just not be playing the game,' are not fun and shouldn't be the norm.

Games should be decided by which team plays better, not which team had to pick top/mid first.

how hard would it be to make everyone pick their champion at the same time. 1 click to select a champion + 1 click to lock in you have a limited time to lock in.

it would be faster than what we have now, and counter picking wouldnt be as much of an issue

Meanwhile in LCS they are talking about how there is no 'hard counter that snowballs the lane' atm.

I'd imagine that's because no one picks the champions who can be hard-countered in the first place. Remember that the LCS champion pool is much smaller than the pool for "normal" players who want to play their favourite champions instead of always just the safest picks.

True, my comment was completely irrelevant. I realized it afterwards.

What about moving the bans to the first three picks? This would honestly make a lot more sense at lower elos, if not at higher ones with more organized teams.

Riot seems to be shifting away from versatile champions that can play more than one role, sadly.
