Very legit question about Yasuo's Wind Wall.
Why doesn't it just block "non-ultimate" abilities? Why is Lux the only one? Favoritism by Riot? I honestly want to know. :P

Yasuo's Wind Wall blocks projectiles. Lux's ultimate is not a projectile. Lux just happens to have a kit full of projectiles except her ultimate.
C'mon OP you can figure this out, this is not a legit question about Wind Wall at all...
To be fair not every one takes the time to fact check or do a google search. So for those that don't here A useful link?
But yea Hit scan ability's don't get blocked. Lux Velkoz Xerath Ziggs R. Swain Q Xerath Q, Annie W.
Vel'Koz's ulti, similar to Lux's, are both "lasers" and so they will go through the windwall.
Just like how lasers can go through the wall, ground spells will also go through it just fine. Because they do not have projectiles, which is what the wall eliminates.
Though, there is also Viktor's Death Ray which despite being a laser it can be blocked by the windwall, but also not really, if you cast the laser "over" the wall so the intended laser swipe path on the ground does not intercept the wall then the laser will not be blocked. It's a bit messy in the thing's coding and definition.
Anyway, Lux is not the only spell that can go past the windwall.
......
As for how much should the wall block, given often it blocks way too much, well that's a different question.
That's not really correct in regard of projectile definition. The difference between the "lasers" of Vel'Koz, Victor and Lux is, whether or not the damage is applied in the full area at the same time.
I would like to tag onto this and ask why it's okay that it can sit there and block ranged auto attacks for it's duration? Kind of stupid.

I know what you mean there. It does have a fairly long cooldown to somewhat balance it out, but I think maybe more could be done with it. I know Yasuo is a big complaint for some players and I've seen a few discussions that don't really go anywhere and it's just people whining without constructive criticism.
As far as balancing some people find him fine. Not the highest winrate ever like the Zac rework was. But I was thinking... what if it was more like his passive? After the wall is hit it decays over a time instead of lasting the entire duration. Might need a lower cd if they did that to it though. Idk. He's a fighter and that's a very supportive skill he has. It never really fit in his kit imo. It feels weird having that kind of denial power on him.
I think I remember Riot mentioning wanting to do something with him, but they can't figure out what. Right now they have all these other reworks going on, so probably won't see anything for quite awhile. I'm fine with him as is for now, just want to know what people here think.
Same reason it doesn't block Thresh auto attacks...
