Beyond the sight of the incredibly obvious bait, for every jest and every clown show, we can see there is a glimpse of reality hidden within.

OP is at least right about the fact Riot isn't balancing the champs to be equal, but how strong they think they should be. And it creates an obvious champ tier where some champs are just not viable in high elo for that reason, and thus high elo pool becomes very restricted and "boring" after a while.

As absurd as this post sounds, there is a nugget of truth. What he said wasn't entirely wrong either. High Elo players in diamond or beyond only play Meta. Hence, it's the reason why you see these champions in nearly every game: Lucian Fiora Riven including the ones he mentioned: LeeSin Ahri Jinx Vayne Thresh Zed .

While I'm sure some players have made it to Challenger playing Urgot, most don't neccessarily have the skill capacity without playing ALOT of games.

And? League has circular imbalance. League actually does it really well. Sure, there are some champs who's design makes them routinely good, but give it a month or two and the meta will shift because people found counters to all the meta picks or someone got buffed/nerfed. Zed, Vayne, and Fiora are definitely going to be not meta in a few months. If Ahri gets nerfed or someone like Galio gets a buff she'll fall to the side. Thresh and Lee Sin have a certain amount of utility in their kit that's going to make it hard for them to fall out of meta. Riven would need an Azir level gutting to not be so good, and Lucian will fall out of meta if buffs are given to champs with lots of long range siege who can ruin his lane phase.

OR riot can actually try to make all champions viable again instead of reworking a few they felt were too strong. No champions should be immune to changes any longer than a year whether it's a buff or nerf. Look at the Kassadin thread I pulled up, it says he was nerfed, 2 years ago!

There will never be a day in league where all of the champions are 100% viable.

There are too many variables. And champions who do things better than others will continue to be played more.

I barely played Ahri until she became the mid laner to pick. I spammed her and got a 58% wr. That's where my view is coming from. Why try harder and have less success when you can play the op.

This is mostly speculation, while I, by no means undermine him as a player and think Riot banned him for the right cause but for the wrong reasons( Encouraging toxicity through his streams earned him his ban when it put Riot in a bad light, not being a toxic player in general ). There has been no solid proof he ever reached challenger, although some claim they saw his smurf(Draven) hit Master.

As for the other stuff, you don't need to play those champs to work towards challenger. Pick some champs that you like and jump on the rift with the intent to get better yourself at the game. 'luck' does not work all the way to challenger, nor is challenger handed out otherwise it wouldn't mean anything.

No, I'll agree with OP here, I'm sick of this snowball meta and FF @ 15 games. Most players that are getting high Elo are abusing champions that work better early instead of late, while Riot has done little to address this issue.

Yes, right now there's a snowball meta, but they can't just "buff all bad champs" randomly.

They can't buff Urgot or Vlad because it would be irresponsible. Both of those champs have hard counter lane situations and hard counter items due to the way their kits work. They also hard-counter other champs similar to Teemo vs Tryndamere early.

That's why needs his upcoming VGU and Vlad needed that update in the MYMU. In 's case it's boots and dodging W, while in 's case it's attacking him when pool is on cd and applying .
Neither of those happen consistently with decreasing player skill/awareness, so they are "harder" to get to challenger with only them.

And yes, I do think item 3123 is dumb in its current form of "apply at any hp; LUL I right-clicked U"

p.s. the thread you linked is only 9 days old... that's like 1/2 a patch.

Yeah, I guess what you're saying would be correct. Buffing these champions would throw balance completely off when specific items would have to be changed as well.
