A message from your jungler.

If I gank you, and you choose not to go in, do not expect me to gank for you again.

If I secure you a kill during a gank. I’m going to tax cs, or maybe just xp.

If you have no cc, and I have no cc, ganks rarely work.

If you constantly push to your turret against a Darius/Jax/varus/lissandra or any champion with cc or survivability, I’m not going to gank you.

It is not your junglers job to win your lane

If you choose not to leash me, don’t expect me to gank you.

You can ward as well. (Adc and top lane seems extra guilty of this)

If I ping danger on your lane, the enemy jungler is near.

I could keep this list going. But I’ll keep it short.

That’s fair, in turn I have some things to say to you junglers as your laners.

If we go help you not get ganked, gank in return.

If we put ourselves at a disadvantage to collapse to help you, gank in return.

If the lane is pushed to tower and they are in he middle of the lane, don’t expect our help.

If the above section is met. Then yeah I’ll gank.

Repeat of the above.

And fine. If I die due to your Laners roaming in and you ignoring them though, don’t complain that they are now ahead.

So many junglers I have had try forcing a gank when I have 2 waves worth rushing into my tower and expect me to engage the enemy right in the middle of it and then chase him through it. Half the time we both we end dying due to a counter gank or I refuse to engage and he goes in anyways then dies and spams me for farming even after pinging them to back off......

I'm a jungle main. I hate the tone in this post. As jungler, that doesn't make us the default team leader. Laners don't have to do what we say. If there's a miscommunication and we go in when a laner thinks we shouldn't, it's not on them. Acting like a pouty know-it-all purely based on role is detrimental to teamwork, which ultimately wins more games than big playz.

Remove all the nonsense above and replace it with "Dear laners, I'm going to try my best to do everything in my power to help us win. Jungling is hard sometimes. If I'm struggling, I'll try to work my way out of it. If I'm carrying, I'll try to use that to get objectives and communicate so we can apply as much map pressure as possible. Either way, please be patient and friendly."

Except the tone of the post is I’m tired of Laners bitching and moaning that I’m not camping every lane at the same time, while also taking every objective to exist as it spawns.

And not once did I ever say being the jungler makes you the leader. I’m saying if you don’t make yourself assistable, I’m not going to bother trying.

Butterwood5 votes

Yes, you're bitching and moaning about laners bitching and moaning. I get it. I'm saying that it's not productive for laners or junglers to act like this. Not ganking someone because they made one bad play simultaneously makes you a jungler AND a toddler.

I'm obviously just a mid silver guy who still can't compete with high ELO people, but I don't lose games because of a crappy attitude. I lose games because I'm just not very good at league. For all I know you might be a much better jungler than me, but your attitude is crap, so you being B4 on a level 125 account is not surprising in the least.

I’m b4 on a level 125 account because I don’t play ranked. And because of that little snip it you’ve lost any validity to any argument here.

As for my actions of refusing to gank if you don’t go in with me, that it me taking a risk assessment and assessing you aren’t worth my time.

Butterwood4 votes

It was more than a "little snip". I'm pointing out that you have a clear weakness in your game that you would rather blame on others rather than own and fix for yourself, so much so that you created an entire thread about it.

In a 5v5, every teammate is "worth your time". I know the old adage "never gank a losing lane", but you can't completely ignore teammates that you arbitrarily deem are "not worth your time".

Go back and reread what you posted - pretend like someone else posted this thread. Then try and make the argument that you're not acting like a brat that would most likely be an absolute nightmare of a teammate.

Fine. I’ll throw a situation at you. Enemy top fed Illaoi 3 kills in the time of your first clear. What’s going to happen when you go up and attempt to help him?

And you don’t know any weakness in my game because you’ve never seen me play. I have a whooping 8 ranked games this season. So I mean. If 8 games with which I have around a 6/2 wl record is bronze level. Man. Idk how people climb.

You are currently 6/10 for the season, not 6/2. The whole point that he is making is for you to overlook your bias towards yourself. Which, as you can see, is very present in your OP and responses.

If you actually have interest in getting better, not blaming your teammates is a good place to start. You can't control what they do, but you can learn to play better yourself.

Butterwood4 votes

So the enemy fed Illaoi (who, based on the structure of this sentence is on my own team) 3 kills? In that case, I think Illaoi and I will high 5 when I get into lane.

If it's my teammate that fed the enemy Illaoi 3 kills, then first I'll ask them to play conservatively / close to tower while I take a roundabout route to gank while avoiding wards. Caught in an aggressive position, Illaoi will ult, and we'll run in opposite directions - my teammate back behind his tower, and me towards Illaoi's tower. Once the ult has run its course, I'll go back to pursuing Illaoi (hopefully with my laner's help, unless he's low on HP) and either get a flash, a kill, or at the very least make her go back so my top laner can farm.

Granted, that's the ideal situation that doesn't always work out perfectly, but either way I won't throw a hissy fit about it or vow never to gank top lane again. Because, you know, I'm not a whiny brat. I'm a jungler just trying to help his team win a game.

Except you cannot fight that Illaoi even 2v1. If your laner has to back off, you lose that fight. Unless you are equally fed. Which at this point in the game is not very likely.

Ganking that lane is a lost cause. You will only end up feeding her as well

Also. I love how being tired of Laners blaming you when they feed is being a brat. Lol. If it was any other role, they’d just be blowing shit out their ass. But because it’s the jungler it’s okay.

Butterwood2 votes

I'm saying acting like a brat to prevent other people from acting like brats is absolute nonsense. You were venting through this thread, which I understand, but you're looking at it wrong. Nobody owes it to you to play any certain way. Throwing a fit and ignoring teammates when they don't play the way you want them to makes you a bad jungler.

And no. I play a lot of Illaoi. Depending on who you're jungling as, once Illaoi's burned her ult she's pretty much a sitting duck. Her kit lends to her being an aggressive laner and her ult bails her out with some double kills when she doesn't ward, but after she's blown her ult she is VERY vulnerable.

Poor assessment. What if you made a bad call to go in and the laner didn't think it was a good opportunity. What if you make a good call, but the laner mistakenly, but reasonably, doesn't think they are capable of executing their part without screwing up? There are many good reasons why a laner may not go in. I've had many good jglers, and many bad ones who go in at horrible times when I'm either too far away with no flash or cc available (so that engaging makes the gank incredibly telegraphed so that enemy laner knows what's up), or I'm too low ho or Mana to be effective, and then they wonder why the gank flopped or why I held back. I'm usually not even salty about it, because it's just normal miscommunication, but then sometimes the jgler is a jerk about it and I have to set them straight. Point is, you're incredibly accusatory and one sided in your post, and I broadly, not personally of course, take offense as a laner

If the laner does not think they can go in, then they need to communicate that with a back off ping. If they chose not to do that it is on them. Just like it’s on me if I chose not to ping to go in when I go in myself.

If I gank you, and you choose not to go in, do not expect me to gank for you again.

With this point, I just want to remind you that sometimes we're incapable of going in. If you all-in and we're at 5% hp and no mana versus a Darius and we just needed you to clear the damned wave while we backed, that's 100% on you.

Also

It is not your junglers job to win your lane

Sometimes the jungler is the only way to win lane. At which point it is not your job to win it for us, but rather to help us win it so that the game isn't a 4v5 with us desperately trying to catch up. It's not just on you, yeah, but it is kinda the jungler's job to help lanes win their lanes, and ganking the 11/0 Kat for the 8th time that match isn't going to help near as much as saving the late game champion who's in a solo lane versus a lane bully.

  1. If that’s the case chances are I’m nit going to bother ganking you to begin with. The point of a gank is to have an advantage 2v1. If I go in 1v1 that defeats the purpose.

  2. You’re jungler is not responsible for you losing lane. If you get counter picked or counter pick yourself, that was your own decision and choice. If you cannot play into a counter that is again, your own fault.

DuskDaUmbreon5 votes

"It's your fault you got counterpicked"

...Wat.

The thigh guy1 votes

yes. When you chose a champion you are weighing the risks of how hard you can possibly be countered.

Every time I pick kayn, I’m making the choice to take the risk of the enemy picking yi and me auto losing to him in any fair duel.

If I choose jinx, I’m accepting the fact that if the enemy chooses Lucien I lose.

kingDeDeDarius5 votes

False, those risks are inherent, yes, but it is a team game, and one of the RESPONSIBILITIES of early/mid GANK junglers is to help teammates overcome disadvantaged counterpicked as long as those teammates are trying their best to survive and are willing to help you set up the gank properly because it's a TEAM game. Otherwise, I'm going to call your b.s. and say you are a bad jgler if you don't inherently help disadvantaged la is without some solid reasoning (aka, your laner is actually inting so helping is pointless, other more dangerous enemy laner is getting fed, so you focus that lane, you want a particular one time, etc). It's nobody's fault for getting counterpicked, you don't get to fricken choose your champ pick order lmao, this is just your ego talking. Sure there are champs that you shouldn't puck if you have first or second pick because they are easily countered or really niche, etc, but outside of that, EVERY CHAMP has counters. It is NOT the fault of the first, second, or third pick players if they get countered, and if the enemy is a better player, it's not necessarily your teammates fault for losing to a counter if they are at least trying their best.

I assume this was in response to: "With this point, I just want to remind you that sometimes we're incapable of going in. If you all-in and we're at 5% hp and no mana"

I want to note that I see a TON of junglers do this. They come and sit in a bush and ping me (at 5-10% health) to go in and initiate a fight for them. Or else they ping a fight and wait until I'm dead to do anything at which point they clean up the kills. I'm happy to pull back to lure in enemies for ganks, but if you need me to knock off 80% of their health before you do anything then sure, ignore my lane because if that's the case, I can find my own opportunities better if I'm not trying to play around you.

theChibiTina5 votes

ADCs that don't ward do so because they seem to think warding is solely the supports job and fail to realize that 1.) the support doesn't always have a ward up (warding totem has a cooldown and it takes time for the support item quest to be completed) and 2.) they have wards too.

HeeroTX1 votes

Or else, they're pushed under turret and CAN'T ward.

theChibiTina1 votes

I mean I was talking about ADCs who refuse to ward at all, but yeah. And if they're pushed to tower and can't ward then the support is also pushed to tower so they shouldn't yell at the support for not warding.

HeeroTX1 votes

To be blunt, warding is EVERYONE'S job, anyone who isn't warding SHOULD be bitched at for not warding, period. Again, the ONLY valid (IMO) excuse for not warding (from ANYONE) is "I can't ward without dying". Outside of that, if you can, then do it.

theChibiTina2 votes

That's the point. It's not solely the supports job to ward. However there are a lot of people out there that don't ward. And ADC tends to be a big offender because some of them think they don't need to because that's the support's job. Support should have highest vision score overall, but it's not their solo job to ward.

In this situation, yeah. Jungler is at fault. But 99/100 it’s oh look. 5 man enemy team at drake. Not doesn’t have tp up. And botlane is clearing minions. Can’t contest it.

In you’re example given previously all 5 enemies are bot side. If he tries to go in, he dies and they get a dragon.

First of all, you're a Bronze IV Player, I have been playing Jungle for a really long time now.

I help my lane no matter what they do or what champion they play in that lane, all you need to do is give them hope and stay positive.

If I Secure them a kill I leave, so he/her can get a level advantage in their role, so he doesn't need anymore ganks unless it's an enemy jungle ganking, then I'll counter gank in return and I leave. The Jungle still gives a lot of gold, Invade your enemy jungle if you're running out of camps, Sometimes you need to play risky to get things done right.

You're just complaining from a game you had as 16/5 Kayn game, we all have bad games and good games. But the argument isn't that helpful since you need more time playing Jungle and play differently from those rules you're going by.

Even if you top or mid doesn't have any CC, you still gank and help them win lane so they can roam to other lanes, and then snowball to victory.

EDIT: Okay, this wasn't a valid argument at all. But here's a valid counter-point: EARLY. SECONDARY. OBJECTIVES. Um... yeah, I'd LOVE a gank as an ADC, even if my support FUBARed my farm so I couldn't freeze the wave effectively, because If you're willing to risk ganking us little nooblets in the side lanes while we're all still young (goodness knows the ENEMY jungler has paid us a visit a good 3 times already), you'll get an early dragon (with the help of the ADC and support) or rift-herald advantage (with the help of the top-laner) that you can snowball into a victory. Games have been won or lost on those dragons. You know that, right?

This is the last time I’m typing this. I do not play ranked. The rank you see is from pretty much ONLY provisional games.

And if you don't want to be rank-shamed, then play more ranked and climb. As it stands, you are bronze. Prove that you can be more than that, and the people who are rank-shaming you will stop.

If your provisional games suddenly decide your forever rank, then I guess everyone is bronze for life.

See, the reason most people's positional games aren't their "forever rank" is that they play ranked beyond provisional games. You should try it sometime. Then you won't be bronze for life.

More rank shame. Maybe I just need to make an alt that will forever be unranked or just stop doing placements for shits and giggles.

All I'm gonna say, you need more practice as Being the jungle and change your playstyle and see the results, I will climb faster.

Big Tip: Don't Practice in rank, only in Draft and normal Queue that will help you more and will not take any LP away from you. Learn a Champion you want to Master him/her. For me I'm different I have been playing for 9 years straight, even Though I was poor for 4 of those years and not so good of a desktop. I was toxic for a few seasons, but I manage to clean myself up and learn to keep my cool. [vayne-pose]

If you're in silver or low gold and I am your jungler. STFU. I know more than you unless you a plat + smurf.

If you mid gold I won't be in your game playing jungle since it boring as fuck and once I get back to gold I will hardly playing ranked cuz this terrible mming has finally gotten to me.

  • singed low elo veteran who is sick of new kids thinking they know wtf is up (talking gold-bronze obviously).

Rank shame is strong with this one.

More of just a joke but honestly lol like if someone has never been gold and there not like.... a lot better than silver elo (which is most players in silver) then I am not going to listen to them when they tell me shit because 95% of the time they wrong. But then they blast me like they know wtf they talking about.

Find it funny the account you posting on in bronze in all ranked seasons. Either you too much of a ***** to post on your main or.... well.... we getting advice from Bronze. Personally I agree with mostly what you say but.... all these posts always talk about absolutes and as others have pointed out lanes have times they can bad mouth jungle as well. Every game different and no situation the same so making a list like you did although can generally be a good guideline isn't always accurate because the situations change.

Or I don’t play in the toxic cess pool that is ranked past placement 99/100
