I swear, the number of try hards in this game is growing

And holy shit is it the most unfun and toxic part of this game. When literally everyone, even in something like blind pick, are just taking some build off of mobafire for the most obnoxious champions.

Oh man, congratulations, you're totally not the 5th lee sin i've seen today with that exact same build.

Seriously, if you want to practice for ranked go play unranked draft. There is nothing less fun than blind generalists copy pasting a build every fucking game.

I gave up playing blind pick a long time ago, and switched to ARAM whenever i wanted to chill from ranked. Best decision ever.

If i didn't care what i was playing then sure, but i do want to play something specific most of the time.

Then my friend flex queue/draft is the way to go

This makes no sense. I find more try hards in draft than I do in blind.

Most treat it more like ranked, even though half of the people in blind pick treat blind like ranked anyway.

its a competitive game, whats the point in not trying?

the real question is, why are you even bothering with blind pick?

It wouldn't bother me, if it was possible to actually have fun in the game, and not just try to win, and be forced to play the most boring and optimal cookie cutter builds because failing to do so is basically just accepting shitty one sided games. Winning can be fun and there exists a game mode who's purpose is to be competitive, it's called ranked. I see no reason that the game's default design should be in a way which sacrifices having fun, for being competitive.

I get that it's a competitive game, but so is football, but you don't see people setting up defensive and offensive zones and positions in an average game of football. Hell most the time the team sizes aren't even right.

When you really think about it, there is one massive difference between esports and regular sports... that being, that the difference between a causal and a ranked game isn't the game's mechanics, it's the rules which you are limited by. In the case of league of legends, these "rules" in effect apply to everyone at all levels of play, even if they aren't playing ranked.

In this case, other players are forced to play by these rules, because 1 or 2 people in the game are going to have an unfair advantage and ruin the experience of everyone if you don't follow suit. It's a stupid state for the game.

You have no idea how much I can relate to this.

no one is forced to play by any mans rules, sure respect the team and help the team, that's it the ''lane meta'' supp/adc / mid etc etc is just like any other sport quarter backs, defenders, point men, leaders, trailers, mid fielders etc etc.

a good example here is from the NA ranked ladder, R6 last season had an ADC main Ahri, thats not meta or normal but it happened and its what he made work for him (or her).

my point is, you can literally make anything work as long as you help the team, that singed Support only got banned because he refused to help the ADC and took the jungle from the jungler detrimenting his own team, regardless of win rate he had many complaints and many reports and many people did not want to play with him, not because of his singed but because of his selfish non-caring style.

i play TF support, people mona, then we win and they dont moan, many people play off-meta the difference is people want a fun game, if you go full AP lee and do nothing all game people will be annoyed, thats natural if you go to the park for a 5-aside match either in a league or just with mates, your be pissed if people didn't take turn in goal or just picked up the ball and run around with it for 40minutes doing nothing but be annoying.
