Why do people seem to forget the existence of Galio?

The bane of all Teemos, an enemy anything that relies on magic damage hates with a passion, a tank with burst, AoE CC which is also a burst, team utility, and a sick self heal that comes with a massive resistance buff and is super effective against anyone who dares to have a DoT. AP that scales with his MR, strong teamfighting presence, good tanking power and/or strong as a burst mage..

..So why do I almost never see anyone else who plays Galio?

If Galio is in range to Flash-Ult, Annie can Ult without having to Flash.

i play galio but ap heavy team comps are very rare. most teams are ad heavy...specifically yasuo/zed mid, fiora top, and jungle yi/zed. Against such a team galio is simply a very bad choice.

Uhm, no. He has an AoE burst slow, Targeted resistance mega buff, Linear ally speed boost, though his ult is still great regardless.

I've seen the (Extremely) few Galio mains up in dia, he seemed to work quite well up there. In my opinion, it's mostly on one of the same reasons Xerath isn't all that popular even though he's really good. You have to aim your abilities to be effective.

That and how he's countered by Wukong.

i don't think being skill shot reliant has much to do with why he's not played. There are plenty of skillshot reliant champs that get played

I think there are just way too many AD mids now, and it's very easy to counterpick him these days
