Why though? The rules are the same, you can just queue with 3 people. That is the only difference. Normals are for testing.

Because of of how MMR/ELO promo games were messed up. Personally I can't take Flex seriously after I got my experience with it. Won 7 out of 10 games and got silver 4. That's okey'ish. After that I climbed to Silver2. But what wasn't ok is that a week after my promos i got another promo game which I won and... got kicked to Bronze 4. From then on I only play Flex for test and box farming reasons.

Since its release, matchmaking in flex queue has been... questionable. They have improved it considerably, but first impressions do make an impact and for many players it caused them to disrespect match quality. For many people that's why.

Because flex is nothing but a re-named Dynamic Queue which was hated by a large part of the community. Besides that, matchmaking and general treatment of flex queuers was terrible when it was first released which only made the community disrespect it more.

No one really respects a solid flex-queue rank anyways because premades inherently make matchmaking and general judgements of skill unreliable/inconsistent. It's not respected like a Solo/Duo rank where results aren't skewed nearly as hard.
