I keep getting games like this and it is getting on my nerves because these games are always one-sided. It's really cool that Riot wants to fix their matchmaking and even out the odds by putting bronze players versus diamonds just to make sure premades aren't too strong but this is getting stupid.

Godhri4 votesLooks balanced to me unless I'm missing something. The only higher ranking player is a Plat IV which tbh, is not that much higher. They also are stuck with two silvers as opposed to 1 silver.

Just because the total MMR of both teams is almost equal doesn't mean the game is fair. what you're actually saying is that a game can be fun if you have 4 bronze players and 1 LCS player versus a full Platinum team. It will be fun for either the LCS player the 4 gold players, but I doubt it ever being fun for the bronzies.
Balanced games should be within the respective elo's of premade players. if a silver 5 and a gold 1 player duo que, there shouldn't be platinum players in the game nor should there be bronze players. That's the whole point of duoing with lower elo people to get higher MMR for the lower player but lower MMR for the higher player.
There is a world of dfference between gold and plat players and matching for example a gold 3 mid versus a plat 1 on a random game, doesn't seem fair to me.
My point is, the game felt like it was a bit balanced, like this season finally came to a point where there was a point we could say yeah nice! and now it all feels to be turning to shit again.
Godhri1 votesI see your point but you used a rather extreme example. I am assuming the plat player did really well in your game, but consider that generally, higher ranking players don't play against lower ranking teams unless they are losing a lot of games.
This is just a flaw in the system. I am not sure what it looks like on the macro level, but I think it is a relatively minor flaw in the system. By your own example of a Gold 1 player and a Silver 5 duo you are making it unfair for any silvers or gold players.
IAmWoralo1 votesThe plat player actually performed poorly this game, but when I saw this kind of matchup for the 3rd time in maybe 6 or 7 games I wanted to screenshot it and make my point. I previously had a plat 4 vladimir versus my silver 3 veigar on mid lane, which ended in 11/0 vladimir in a matter of minutes.

That didn't happen Mind you I'm in Silver 2 my team was me and one other Silver 2 the other ones were silver 3 and lower. the Enemy team was nothing but gold 4's and higher... [zombie-nunu-tears]
