do you have any idea how powerful reliability is?
i get what youre trying to do, but it isnt even close to make up for the power budget of the villainy passive.
hed still be a shittier version of other juggernauts like chogath, or aatrox who get aoe displacement on their base abilities and higher base damage.
Unlimited scaling on resistances, the way that you described, would be broken.
Buffing Garen W passive could be fairly done in a couple of ways: They could have left it at 30, but accelerated the stacking rate to .5, instead of .25. Better early game.
OR
Let it scale infinitely post-30, but at .125 rate. (This would get Garen to 40 resistances at ~200 CS.)
In my opinion, what they did was actually better (more responsible), especially considering that game length is shorter now. They just put Garen into line with Olaf, and gave him 40. If Garen gets 160 CS by 20m, he's doing pretty good... Infinite stacking at a reduced rate might be more fun in the long games, but giving Garen a reasonable but challenging goal of being fully stacked by 20m is the more practical option. There's just e sizable pool of opponents that can delay this and zone Garen during laning. And laning phase has been shorter this past year...
