Metas with Kog'maw are usually preferable to me, though, because they involve a lot more tanks and a lot less bullshit divers and assassins.
kog maw is super unloved and is always going to be underrated... If I was riot, I'd make his Q have the same effects, but i'd make it cast the same as his current ultimate... His actual ultimate should be changed to be like karma. It should enhances one of the skills he chooses, but should have a long cool down and last only a short period.
They should also update his model.
