I didn't think such a champion existed, but in my last game an AD malphite did more damage than Kalista. They had about the same number of kills, so it's not like one of them was more fed than the other or anything like that. So, he can build AD and be OP, he can build AP, and of course go tanky. Heck, I've even seen him jungle and support on occasion. Is there anything malphite can't do?

*not underpowered or sub-optimal, actually unreasonable. ADC, APC, support, jungle, bruiser, and even AS/Tank kayle can work.

Provengreil1 votesI realize it functions, it's just that it's the only item that goes beyond sub-optimal by denying the use of her core offense and therefore fails. honestly, I'm pretty sure you could ignore hydra and then actually pick her items randomly and still come up with something workable

wilmer0071 votesmalphite jungle is very good especially now with the W change he got. he can basically stay in jungle until he can afford cinderhulk and he can hit lvl 6 while pretty much at full health. not uncommon for me to only make two or 3 recalls during most of the game. one for cinderhulk, another for merc threads and finally for Iceborn Gauntlet. by then games are pretty much over. i had an 80% win rate with jungle malphite in my first 12-13 games until i got all the baddies and feeders.
