Balance wise Camille is condemned to be the next Ekko

Another overloaded kit. Too much utility combined with high mobility and tankiness while dealing absurd amount of damage. I don't see her kit ever reach a balanced state. I am literally amazed this champ got released.

More like a better version of JarvanIV

Except she is meant to be like that. She is meant to be a diver, not an assassin which will likely make it ok. Just stop complaining unless you got some actual arguments to back it up.

Since when champions being overloaded are fine because they are meant to be overloaded?

Wtf?

You're twisting their words.

She's meant to be a bruiser. She's not overloaded nor is she meant to be.

Since when did placing traps under an enemy turret that can only be destroyed by stepping on them become fine?

Sona x Rubick6 votes

that's like the most retarded thing i ever heard in those 3 days

"camille is meant to be tanky unlike ekko"

it doesn't matter what she is meant to be, insane tankiness+stickiness+utility+damage shouldn't be in ANY KIT in league

Irelia for instance isn't as tanky as camille, doesn't bring massive utility, and fall of late game because she doesn't have an attack speed steroid+free damage+massive %hp damage AT THE SAME TIME

LongHair Fox2 votes

Unlike Irelia she has a ton of counterplay however. Her dash can be body blocked, is super slow and signalled, and her damage is backloaded where Irelia's is front loaded. In all Camille is slightly more tanky than irelia, less sticky (3.6 s dash vs 6 s dash with both at 40% cdr), has slightly more utility but 2 s stun should never be underestimated, and Irelia's damage curve is better since she has front loaded damage and about the same total damage over 3 seconds.

Cammile's damage is AoE and she has more true damage, iirc.

Her stun is more reliable because of how Irelia's stun works.

Irelia's damage isn't as front loaded as you think, as she often Q's to a minion and then stuns you, which means she usually holds her Q to chase and also that she doesn't get her Sheen proc instantly (unless it was timed and the Sheen CD came off after she Q'd the minion.)

Irelia doesn't have insane pick potential due to not being able to gapcloser effectively unless near minions without making her E not stun. Meanwhile Cammile has an inescapable box.

Irelia is not as mobile, can't dash over most walls.

Irelia is not as tanky, she has little to none built in tank stats besides Tenacity, while Camille gets custom tailored shields.

Irelia is not as sticky due to lacking any form of CC once her stun wears off, which is 2 seconds after she engages because she usually engages with a stun.

LongHair Fox2 votes

As an Irelia main lets get this straight: Camille true damage is at best 1 auto every 3.6 seconds for about 400-500 damage if she gets the sheen proc and builds only two damage items (sure she can build more damage but then she loses tank stats which she likely needs). Meanwhile Irelia needs 6 auto attacks to do the same, so with an attack speed of about 1.4 and a q proc they get equal true damage. Sure Irelia cannot always attack her opponent but cammile can get cc'ed out of her second activation or be forced to use it on a poor target.

Camille stun can be bodyblocked, flashed, dodged or whatever you want. Once Irelia starts her stun you get stunned unless you die or become untargetable. In a teamfight she is going to have less health than the full hp adc so it almost always becomes a stun.

Irelia does not get the first tri force proc sure, but her ult, dash and stun all do good damage. Meanwhile Camille needs to wait 1.5 seconds for her second q proc, channel time for her w and late game the majority of her e damage is from the attack speed which is also hardly burst. To do this she gets 1s stun so her target can move 1 more second compared to Irelia's.

Irelia can flash and stun, there are plenty jungle creeps and so on. Sure Camille probably have better catch potential but it has never been about Irelia being a better Camille.

Irelia is more mobile in some situations however. The lower cd on dash means a lot in terms of how sticky she is.

Irelia has much more healing than Camille. While that is not shields or armor it does translate into more hp.

Irelia is more sticky since her stun is on an 4.8 second cd and her dash is 3.6 s cd compared to Camille dash on 6 s. Camille only beats Irelia here if her ult is up and if she does not get knocked out of it, and even then it is only while her ult is up. In all other scenarios Irelia is more sticky.

Camille has bonus ms every 3 second that lasts for 1 second she has a 90% slow, her E stuns and her R forces someone to fight

that's A LOT MORE reliable than irelia who has her mobility limited to targets

not only that, but irelia also maxes her Q at last, her mobility will only shine in late game where it's too late

LongHair Fox1 votes

Current norm is maxing q second on Irelia and unless you are escaping having targeted dashes is more reliable. I am not saying that Camille is a bad champion, just that she is not overloaded. Also note that the slow decays and the stun is only 1 second.

ACENOX1 votes

what about ulti knock back+making someone unable to escape?

that's not utility?

LongHair Fox1 votes

I never said it was not? For the sake of understanding you might want to reply to the post you are making a comment on... This post has nothing to do with utility.

The Q or E max second is kinda up in the air since both have their real pros and cons. You can do either depending on what you are dealing with and neither is really the wrong way to go about things.

As for this whole comparison of Irelia and Camille they have similar strengths but different ways of applying them. While both might be hard to escape Irelia is generally better at chasing while Camille straight up stops an enemy from running.

I would say the one thing I feel is too strong on Camille is the 4 second duration on her ult given how quickly everything seems to die in the game currently.

LongHair Fox1 votes

Yeah you are right, I just still don't think most people have switched back to e max second. Not that the argument started like that anyway. I just have a hard time seeing why Camille should have an extremely overloaded kit compared to many other champions.

Divers in a nutshell. The class that Riot designed to be good against ranged as melee.

I personally have an easy time melting Camille down as ADC, especially since she can't rewind.

Why? They're nothing alike. And Camille's balanced.

I really don't understand why do they keep releasing new champs.

Starcraft was almost balanced with 3 races.

In LOL half of the matchups are hard counters.

So lets keep releasing new champs even though the current champion pool is broken, because logic.

Starcraft is in an entirely different genre. And for a more accurate analogy, Starcraft did not have only three units.

And if I recall correctly, these said units, that you would only be controlling one of, were not balanced and were not equal to each other.

Because money. Starcraft isn't free to play.

New champions are overtuned to collect data (and money)

After a few patches they get balanced.

Camille is RP bait for 2-4 weeks, then she will receive some nerf. Most likely -5AD.

Irelia Bot1 votes

last I checked it was -2 base AD at level 1 and her true damage scaling getting nerfed early game from the current 55 to 100% down to 40% to 100%.

Not really, she can actually be punished for her mistakes unlike Ekko.

Dominick Destine1 votes

She's gotten destroyed in every match I've seen her in.

Ekko was brokenly overpowered for a very long time.

Not seeing the connection. https://champion.gg/champion/Camille Trolololol 44% win rate.

SmileInABox1 votes

I am literally amazed that you're complaining. Her heal is easily avoided, her stun is telegraphed from a mile away, if you're smart the true damage is easily avoided, and unlike Ekko she has some hard counters. Give her at least a couple weeks before you start crying.

She's based off irelia according to the creator's Vod. I think she's fine. Plays similar to Irelia. Just don't let her get fed.

lolipopevelynn1 votes

Ekko was never meant to be a tanky diver. That is something that just happened because his kit had too much in it. Camille however is doing exactly what she was meant to do.
