@ Riot: Can we get faster mana regen in fountain?
Because right now it is pretty slow giving mages another disadvantage compared to resourceless champs. Also a lot of the times I am already full HP but have to wait ages for my mana to regen.

@ Riot: Can we get faster mana regen
Beware, Rito hates that concept.
That's true. Mana potions are gone,
can't be used in Summoner's Rift.....
Rito why

but who needs magical energy when you can use other forms of energy? Or, you know, none at all
The way Shen uses energy it's worse than going OOM as a mage.
now that's an exaggeration
One ability = half the energy pool, which takes 40 seconds to fully regenerate.
I'm pretty sure most, if not all mages can recover more that enough mana to sustain all, but the most costly of their spells.
Is that really an exaggeration?
Shen's passive on his Shadow Dash gives you a fair bit of energy back for each champion you damage with your abilities. In mid to late game his Q gives you more energy back than it costs, provided you're getting all three procs. Extended teamfights will still drain it down eventually, but I don't often run into energy problems with him. Though I will absolutely admit that once you do run out it's quite miserable.

It could be cool to make it so that if you have one resource maxed out, it then increases the rate your other resource fills by, throwing a number out, 1.5x
If you have NO resource to fill like Garen or Rek'Sai (fountain doesn't fill fury), It just passively has 1.25x times faster healing.
It's not even that. You have champions like Garen, Zed, Riven, Akali, Shyvana, Kat who only wait for HP. While ANY mana user waits for both and mana recovers second, hence main reason you had to go back. This small imperfection gives non-mana users 4+ second head start from the fountain.
Mana recovery is just a small area of imbalance in the game.
Doesn't matter because they can give mages other advantages, it's not like every champ has to recover in the same way.

When Garen Main replies.
If you scroll down my match history you see I play mages the most -.- Please don't come to premature conclusions I main Cassio and Swain, both require tons of mana, I know what it's like to wait for mana at the fountain.

Last 20 matches, half of those are mages, the other Half No Mana Top (Garen/Tryn)

so... you're plat. Doesn't give you the right to shit on people. It just means you play more ranked than people.
I know some silver players can and have gone toe to toe with diamond III players and shat on them. They just don't grind ranked.

Do you honestly believe Diamond 3s will play their best champion who put 100s of hours into in a Normal round? Lmao. Wake up, we try new champs in normals, or experiment our build for our Ranked matches. Be real, silvers play all out in normals because the game is too difficult.
Or, you could not sound like a stuck up butt hole? You're trying to say it like you're so amazing or something, you grind a game more than some other people, you're not. If I wanted to be a higher rank all I'd have to do is climb and try a bit harder at the game, hello? That goes for (almost) anyone in the lower ranks. You're not above other people for spending more time grinding a game.
Also, if Diamond III are that good then they should be able to win against a Silver regardless of the circumstances.
He has a 45% winrate by spamming Braum and Nocturne, and only Braum is able to drag his terrible Nocturne record out of the gutter or he'd be worse off than he wants to believe. Since he's so keen on dragging rank out during the "pay for your position" season, I just thought I'd point this out.
Oh, and I don't play Ranked in League. When I go 7-0 in my season 2 placements and then lose the next 8 games in a row because of AFKs and intentional feeders, your ranked system is a joke and I'll have no part of it.

I like your argument. True, my stats are joke. That is what I get for trying to solo climb like I have in Season 5.
If you look me up on lolking (since op.gg doesn't provide previous season), I was 59% overall and 73% Noc Solo Queue Diamond 4.
Sadly, this season I cannot successfully climb solo because it is far too imbalanced and facing premades of 3s/4s with full communication.
Of course, you wouldn't understand, since you don't rank. Oh, and I already failed two Plat 1 promos :D
lol I'm silver 2 with ~60% winrate last season and less than 100 ranked games. Some people just can't be bothered you know. I believe I deserve at least high gold but with dynQ I'll never bother playing ranked enough to get it

DQ is cancer. I understand how you feel. 60% overall is very high for your elo. I'm sure you'll climb into High gold with ease, however it is frustrating right now. The headache you'll have trying to beat your way through 3s/4s while all on your own is not worth it. Get to gold 5 and call it quits until they balance out this pathetic failure that they call Season 6.
I was 73% win rate Noc, 59% overall Diamond 4 in season 5. Climbed Solo all of my games. in Season 6 my stats are absolute garbage since the higher your rank, the more of a chance you get playing vs same players over and over again....And same teams.
It is so imbalanced that one OP champ goes through Bans, and whoever picks him guaranteed to win the game.

lol no bruh thats not how it works. you dont get higher elo just by playing more games, you get it by being good at the game.
but plenty of worthy people don't grind out the ranked to get up there. It still takes the ranged games to climb
but plenty of worthy people don't grind out the ranked to get up there. It still takes the ranged games to climb
No, not really. Those "worthy" people aren't playing for the sole reason to win and therefore don't deserve a high rank. You see people doing unranked > diamond streams all the time and completing it within a week, and there are people that play 3000 games a season in bronze 5. Get the delusion that grinding = success out of your head, because it's a good way to develop bad habits and stay in your Elo
This, so much this.
But grinding = success. What are you talking about? People who do "Unranked to Diamond" are streamers who are already high up on the ladder. Therefore the don't have to learn anything about the game on a low level because they already have the necessary game and mechanical knowledge to carry themselves out of the ELO they are too good for. For them, Unranked doesn't mean anything because they are Diamond 1 or higher. You think i can become a pro within a month or even a year, with your argument? I don't think so.
That's like saying that you don't need education at all and can be smart regardless, which is true, but for a very small number of people who we call prodigies or geniuses. That being said, i don't even think the majority of pros in LCS are on this level, they've been and stayed in LCS for so long because they practiced playing the game on the highest of levels for this long.
Apply this principle to everything you do in life and everything will at one point, become nothing more than muscle memory, not even taking an effort because you've done it so many times. With this level of comprehension, if you ever want to go back to your roots (making a fresh smurf and reaching high ELO very shortly) is an effortless joke to you.
This is a flat out lie xD you aren't gonna tell me a silver play "shat" on a diamond 3 player(one of the top like what, 1/2%)? Maybe if the silver was using zed and the diamond went Full Mana Nami mid with cleanse exhaust lol
Zed and akali do have to wait for their energy
nope, energie regens fast enough that it's almost full by the time your recall is finished, and the rest regens up while you walk out of fountain.
Conditionally. I'm just stating that it is resource that gets filled by the fountain as opposed to
, who specifically do not have a secondary resource that gets filled, and 6 don't have a secondary bar of any kind.
Forgot
dammit, I was so careful to check them all.
Zed and akali do have to wait for their energy
This kind of mentality is why i have given up on league
It's not even that. You have champions like Garen, Zed, Riven, Akali, Shyvana, Kat who only wait for HP. While ANY mana user waits for both and mana recovers second, hence main reason you had to go back. This small imperfection gives non-mana users 4+ second head start from the fountain.

You are the guy who shouts "My idea, it was my idea" a second after someone else says it.
Riot is afraid players might abuse it and spam spells at fountain.
Wait a minute...
It's OK, we're still helping from here!
It is kind of awkward, especially playing support, and you get back to Lane slightly slower than your ADC.
Aren't they going to make it cost mana to be at the fountain with the new age update?
What if you health and mana just regened in the same amount of time. Max time it takes like if you're at 10 hp and mana is 5 seconds.
They could always do it like HotS and instantly regen 50% of each on completing a recall. Especially if they're going to push the whole "mages have a lot of mana but no regen and have to back" angle.
I would agree it would be nice...
But then this guy's ult exists
Havent you realized by now that riot WANTS mana users to be at a disadvantage? I mean take a casual glance at pretty much every other aspect of the game and mana users are at a severe disadvantage in almost every area except maybe effective attack range.
I hear that the new update is going to make it so that you actually have to use your mana to get more mana. You also have to use mana to recall.
Side note, Zed will get a blink recall with no channel to compensate for the mage buffs.
Playing
: Alright my health is back up! walks halfway out of base and realizes only half mana. Aw crap, I gotta turn around...five seconds later. OK now we're off!____
It's almost like mana is supposed to be a resource that you should have to think about or something. It's almost like most resourceless champions are garbage tier anyway (Here's looking at you, Zed, join your brethren already).
