This season has just been absolute clownshoes.

I've been playing since season 1 and I have never seen such universal discontent for this game. Not even the west coast servers debacle stirred up this much shit.

And now I'm hearing talk of pro-LCS players abandoning the live game in favor of some sort of in-house solo queue on a pro-exclusive server. I'm even hearing that Rioters are leaving the company for some mysterious reason.

You guys have been absolutely awful at accepting when you've made a mistake over the years, but I think this time it's really going to hurt your game.

Because Rito backstabbed us with a fake promise of SoloQ.

So riot = Zed main or Shaco main?

Cheekynorth20 votes

Zed mains

Zed nerfs are always compensated not that I'm complaining because I have my highest mastery score on Zed

Wimbledofy3 votes

i mean do you like really even get to play zed in ranked?

Cheekynorth3 votes

No

For two reasons

  1. I'm not level 30 yet

  2. He's banned pretty much every game

Surely there is no good reason for that "COUGHAnnoyingToPlayAgainstCOUGH" "COUGHBadlyDesignedCOUGH" oh wow, the cold is acting up again :(

Cheekynorth5 votes

To be fair, he is an anti-fun champion, and I think the best way to nerf him is by making it so that if two shurikens hit the same target, the second one deals 25% of the first shuriken's damage and that the shurikens deal less damage for each target they pierce. Although this might be a bit much but it works

Also I hope that cold gets better. I have it sometimes too

R I T O, how do I play Shaco? Do I max decieve ike how you lied to us about soloque? Do I max jack in the box like how you dangle a sandbox and replays infront of us and then give us chroma skins and hextech crafting instead. Or do I max two-shiv poison like how you claimed 90% of people supported dynamic queue by getting people to confuse it with the new champ select.

Elikain7 votes

No one is dangling sandbox mode in front of you. They said it's not going to happen and that has been their attitude for years. Can't blame them for you being a dumbass and not reading the news or coming to argue about something you have no fucking clue about but want to take sides.

It's a shame that happens. I really loved League for the 3 1/2 years I have been playing. I will not stop tho I still love it, but they should really listen to their players. Might only be a minority, but they should at least tell us what's in their heads, why exactly they do what they do, what they hope to accomplish by doing so and why not trying out what players think.

Rioters are leaving the company for some "mysterious reason". I think those who leave are the smart ones who want to keep their status as ex-Rioter while Riot was still a good company. They know it's going down with Riot if they don't change something and those who leave probably don't think Riot is going to actually change something.

I still hope for the best

That mysterious reason is for more money after they expended all options at RIOT. It's the natural chain of events in someone's life if they plan on moving up the ladder. They get experience and move on to bigger things. I am sorry you don't understand that and would rather throw out conspiracy theories.

Up voting your down vote comment. Its ridiculous to go on a personal attack because your video game changed. It really shows a lack or empathy or an abundance of immaturity. Whenever a game pissed me off i just quit playing it. I've heard rioters have been getting threats and flamed on twitter, reddit, etc. I get having passion but some people need to accept reality and move on or just play. (Almost) A year of DQ and the flaming hasn't accomplished anything. What makes them think all of a sudden it will? Quit. If you hate it just quit. That's the only chance you have of making a change.

Either that or dont give them your money, nothing drives a company to change faster than an empty wallet.

This too. I personally still love the game (even though im on the worst losing streak since the lions no win season.) The way things are now, they wont be losing any money for a while. As long as the LCS is popular they will have an influx of new players and as long as they keep getting those new players, They will make money off of them even if only a fraction spend cash. I was there for the end of WoW and honestly this isn't much like it. WoW handicapped EVERYTHING and then made the high end rewards a pain in the ass to get. Nothing in the game was hard anymore. It all came down to spending spend a stupid amount of time to get things. WoW's decline hurt because i played with friends from almost day one and made SO many friends it just sucked losing them. League is trying to get to that point where you're making friends and i can respect it. I know my mind floats all around too much sometimes XD

Its pretty standard at this point, overwhelming success leads to arrogance and the belief that you can do no wrong. Doesnt help that Riot has been working so hard on making a competitive sport that they forgot how to make a "game".

In every season, there have been people making threads about quitting the game. They always got downvoted heavily.

This is the first season where they get upvoted instead.

I think that says it all. There is a new "Bye Riot" post every week with 200+ upvotes. That's got to mean something.

Hinagiku333 votes

It used to just be laughable and often followed by petty complaints in the past.

Now, it's all too often followed with well reasoned arguments and the rest of us treat it more like finally breaking a bad addiction and moving on for an improved life...

ThatHaleState25 votes

Cant blame the pros, with the removal of both Ranked 5v5 and the inevitable removal of the ability to DQ 5 man, Pro teams have no way to practice as a full team other than pre-setup professional scrims.

I really don't mean this in any sort of a personal way, but Riot's word is almost entirely worthless by this point.

How many times has Riot said they'd learned their lesson about failure to communicate, only to go back and railroad a change into the game through complaints? How many times did Riot say they learned their lesson about overloaded kits only to release the next problem champ? And for all of their talk about game design (that I'm always a big fan of tbh), they go and do the opposite when it comes time to act... "burden of knowledge" and now every new kit reads like a novel, "clarity of design" and now there are so many particles I need to keep track of for 3-hit passives and the sort, focus on "specialist" champs while Riot continues to release champs with gapclosers, hard CC, AOE, passive damage, etc...

What Riot says is of a mindset that could change the MOBA genre in great ways. What Riot does is often the opposite.

just move on guys its the best way to make league work for us and try to get us back each of us who stop playing the game show riot that we want them to consider our needs and they better fulfill them

The only people DQ caters to is the people who play ranked casually, and it kind of leaves people who want to play competitively on the side lines. I really REALLY can't understand this decision, because striving to become better is the epitome of ranked. People that play casually can play casual game modes, and people that play competitively can play a competitive game mode. Not to mention their latest band aid fix with the diamond + queue. Are you kidding me? There's no way to play in a team D+ competitively now aside from fucking custom games. I can't even describe how mad I am about such an obvious band aid fix for a broken system.

I'm done caring about riot's game.

They've made mistakes, refuse to admit them but instead encourage more bullshit bandaids to an already broken system. Ignore the community's cries about the decline of their game, but they like to comment on other random shit on the boards.

Ok, enjoy your sinking boat riot, the iceberg's right ahead of you, but im jumping off first along with many other players. The tip of the iceberg says dynamic queue and under it are ship wrecks with the words Starcraft and Wow on them. Bye.

CHEESYLEEKS5 votes

lets look at the history of late 2015/2016

-On December 16, 2015, Riot Games sold its remaining equity to Tencent Holdings

so now riot has a parent company as of just before last season, owning only 7% of the shares in riot games, where as tencent holds 93%

definition of a parent company -A parent company is a company that owns enough voting stock in another firm to control management and operation by doing and influencing or electing its board of directors. The second company is deemed a subsidiary of the parent company.

so it would be safe to say that tencent have been getting there fingers into the game one way or another and maybe influencing some of the horrible decisions made in season 6? and its kinda co-incdidental what with the season starting close to tencent buying an overwhelming amount of riot games.

This game is ok. Riot has made mistakes yes. Best thing is to make a new game.. I'm sure they will come up with something.

No it's better to reverse these problems (DQ, the reworks this season, tribunal removal) and work on a different direction in which Riot ACTUALLY LISTENS TO PLAYERBASE FEEDBACK especially from Preview on YouTube, I mean PBE, server,

Xeruon8 votes

IMHO the reworks could be fine with some rebalacing, complete reversion is unnecesarry.

But yes, Dynamic Trash needs to burn in hell.

General Esdeath 12 votes

Some are OK, but the Graves/Quinn ones moved them from the adc role. Morder rework needs to be undone. Vel'Koz was fine the way he was before, as was Brand.
