Since team ranked was taken now, OP no longer has this option, and Dynamic Queue does not fully replace it because there are still rank restrictions. Not complaining about having to use the queue, but the fact that he/she can no longer use any of the queues for their original purposes. If he is upset about dynamic as a solo player then it makes sense to rebuke him for complaining bc we have a solo option still (albeit delayed release).
The people who should be upset are ranked 5s players of large elo gaps, and dynamic players who will be forced to go against teams with smurfs significantly more often because that is now the only way high elo players can play a more serious ranked environment with low elo friends if they want to avoid normals. Basically large gap teams get shafted, and dynamic que gets shafted because there will be inflated elo in dynamic bc of teams with smurfs but not in solo, thus rank in dynamic won't mean much until 5s comes back out. Solo players shouldn't be complaining bc we have it the best of anyone in the community right now and there is no need to rub it in other players faces.

The original solo-queue was removed in favor of a hack-job, amateur queue already proven to be flawed in another game and is now delayed on its return for... what reason? Dynamic queue is a middle-ground compromise queue that is currently trying to cover for two different ends of a spectrum when it cannot possibly do either to any decent extent.
If you want to thank Riot for basically removing the functionality from the game, then be so kind as to thank them for Morde's rework as well. Maybe Cass's also. How about the Sej nerfs? We got everything we wanted out of all of those, didn't we?

New stuff is fun. New stuff is fine if it's needed. This wasn't what ranked needed and countless threads were made pointing out clear issues and what could be done to fix them. Instead, Riot fixed one or two of those issues with new champ select and the rest of them they said, "So instead of actually fixing anything, we've instead just offered an alternative that has its own problems but hey, you can either hate your teammates or hate the game, soooooo~."

Where did you get this information? I would be very surprised if this were true. And without that drawback there is no reason to complain about the dynamic queue when you don't have to use it.

Chovy1521 votesThe skill difference between a Silver and Diamond in solo queue is significantly less impactful than the same difference in Ranked 5s. Team coordination and strategy means a whole lot. People going into Ranked 5s shouldn't be playing like it's solo queue.

Chovy1522 votesYes I have to play my ass off to win the lane, but we consistently do it (and obviously lose often as well to both higher and lower ranked players). If uneven skill matchups are a concern, then you can play any other queue. Ranked 5s is about how you strategize and play as a team.
I agree with you I don't have an equal chance. But the point I'm making is that I want to be able to play with my friends as a ranked team. Never before have you been unable to do this based on rank.
To me, playing as a ranked group is much more important than whether I have to stretch myself to play better and win a hard matchup.

My 5s team consisted of a silver, two or three golds, a plat and a diamond depending on who was online at the time. The enemy team ALWAYS had a similar layout to ours, so it was a diamond vs a diamond in some way.

You realise that's how the new system still works, right? If you're solo queued and you queue up against an organised party, your team's MMR would be significantly higher than the opponents to make up for the communication disparity.
Nothing has changed in that regard.

The new rule if you weren't aware is: "you can rank with others so long as they are within one tier of you."

fibit5 votesso I spent all of season 5 getting out of bronze 5 it was hard but I slowly climbed my mmr slowly went up and I found a champion I was good at. it was so hard my friends wouldn't play with me because of the people I was matched with but I played and played. I would make it to silver and my friends would play with me again. I would make it to bronze 4 over and over every week and I would loose 25- 30 for losses and only get 9 for wins but I kept playing. and my mmr climed so eventually it leveled out in B4 I would gain and loose the same lp for wins and losses and I made it to 3 and was climing. I felt better I was placed with better players and I felt it wasn't impossible. it took a whole year to get out of 5 a year. and then I win 7 out of 10 provisional games and it puts me in bronze 5 that I worked so hard to get out of. I'm never playing lol again thank you for making all my efforts usless and crushing my sprit. you suck riot and your system is unfare. GG

LordKentravyon3 votesI'm looking forward to dynamic queue I almost exclusively play mobas with friends. But between all of us having our post secondary studies + work its almost impossible to get 5 people on at once. For the past 3 years we've been laying 80-90% of it has been in parties of 3-4 . So when we did have 5 why bother doing ranked, we probably wouldn't have enough times with 5 players to get very far. (Last season we got a couple placement games done)
Now I will be able to ranked and If i want to go with a friend but have 2 online I don't need to leave one behind.
