Can we just bring Karma back to how she was before patch 6.6?

I planned on making a long post shortly after new years when all the Rioters came back from vacation, but its just easier to get to the point. Just let her R+E shield minions, keep the nerf to her R+E movement speed, revert the nerf to base shield, revert her W nerf, and just nerf her R+E. She wasn't a problem back then. She didn't even need the buff when her competition got nerfed hard (Lulu and Janna) that same patch. She would of naturally eased into the Meta with support items getting reworked. After the Lulu changes in patch 6.6, Karma would no longer be in Lulu's shadow after 3 whole seasons. Karma mains only had to worry about what Riot plans were, now we have to worry about people screaming "Gut Karma", Flavor of the Month Players abusing her, whether she would be balanced around the LCS, and new players who never experienced the previous version of Karma thinking how she is now is fine when she's not.

All you had to do was revert her buff, but you're just dancing around the issue and trying to find other ways of balance Karma by nerfing everything else that's fine with her. Her damage is fine, her utility is fine, but her current shield still isn't healthy in its current state. At the end of the day, you're causing more problems and trouble that everyone else has to deal with. Even with this insane buff, she is still under performing at a winrate of 48% in support and 49% mid, when before the buff she was hovering around 45% support and 47% mid lane. There were plenty of small changes that would of help Karma a lot more than just another number buff and without making her overbearing to other players or champions.

What they really ought to do is bring Karma back to the way she was before 5.10. At least then she'd be more of a Battle Mage/ Enchanter.

Actually, I would rather progress than regress.

The recent changes were at least good for getting Karma (and her issues) into the spotlight, which makes it easier highlighting them to Riot and getting them to adress them. We can use the publicity, to be honest. With the new Karma players our community has grown. And with nearly 1 year of being popular, so have her cynics grown in number.

As I said, I would rather Riot adresses her bland and uninspired kit as a whole, instead of just mindlessly going back to a state after they ruined her mantra balance (5.10). But again, I would rather Riot learns from this instead of just reverting her and going on as if nothing happened.

I mean, at least we got an indicator now. Yay!
