Is ryze still somewhat viable or completely dead

Ryze is someone who is play occasionally. In my early days of lol, ryze was my main for more mid. Even after the rework. Before he was easier than Annie. Insane burst and completely faceroll. I still did that after the rework. I was thinking about practicing wqeq but, they needed him even more (he was balanced enough after they needed him into the ground). What the fuck??? A stack system. I want to know if this killed him completely (yes I know he disappeared after the rework but was playable and a hyper carry and is one to this day).

Some champions aren't allowed to be good because Riot doesn't like how they fit into the pro scene. Champions such as Azir, Kalista, and Ryze are good examples. If they are somewhat new they are especially prone to this. Riot can't deny that they favor the older champions than their new ones. Thats why Corki has been allowed to stay in his current state of strength while Kalista post release has received nothing but nerfs, literally.

Ryze is great if you master him. Horrible for newbies, but statistically once you hit 125+ games, he demolishes.

I have a lvl 4 mastery but haven't played him in a while. Ever since bilge water. That's whin I just started doing bad with him. That's because I got these tatoos in rune prison.

Yeah he is.

Now its not just about the root but the Q burst since they buffed his Q in compensation for his passive nerf ( I think they reduced the cooldown on his ult too... I dont remember exactly )

If they did buff the ult, more free farm and pushing power.

If you get Zombie Ryze, I'm sure he's dead or UNdead...

They gutted his DPS with the recent change and they have no intent of changing him anymore.

Better to wait until the confirmed rework.

Desperate Power (R) cooldown reduced to 50/40/30 from 80/60/40

I would imagine he's still viable if you're good with him, even if only based off the fact that he was played in an LCK game a couple of days ago.

a strong ryze player is the worst thing to play against mostly without ganks
