Why are bans gone on aram?

I know what some of you are going to say. "bans defeat the purpose of all random" Just look at it this way. Every game has heavy cc champs on one side and mostly dps on the other. Or a good mix of cc/dps/healer on one side, and mostly burst on the other. The point is that the team with the scaling tanks such as is going to win like almost every time. Unless you get lucky and have dps with on your team.

The reason why bans were a good thing, is because you could usually just ban those that kept getting randomly picked. For a while I was banning and because of how many times I had to face those bastards. Just bring back banning please or make it truly random.

because most people who played +500 arams are a "pleasant" people who want to play only Lux Veigar Velkoz Blitzcrank Xerath Fiddlesticks Ziggs Sona Janna Lulu Soraka and other ranged cancer, and after they were forced to play some melee champions they realized that they only can abuse range and lack of flanking routes

And sadly Riot will cater to those people because, speaking from a purely business standpoint, it is a right thing to do. Those people do spend money to unlock all the broken ARAM champs faster and likely a few skins for them. If Riot implements ARAM bans or makes ARAM truly random - you know, things that would actually make the mode fun - then they would lose profits from that part of the playerbase. People who only play ARAM occasionally and for fun? Screw those. They don't bring profit and as such their enjoyment of the game mode has lower priority.

i meant players in the chinese region but now that you mention it i ran into alot of terrible chinese players in the na region as well yikes

Bans were removed because of the ARAM accounts liking their poke champion and got upset because their championss got banned, it has nothing to do with the Chinese.

You are just scapegoating China

Because some believe removing 7-10 champions from the 140+ champion pool will make ARAM "less" random. I would remove the "R" in ARAM since I see the same champion/s ( Jhin for my case) in almost all of my games, I have no problem with Jhin (he's not a champion I'll ban, It's Veigar I find frustrating), but come on give me some diversity in champions, It's not just Jhin, there are others I've gotten a lot. It's probably because of my limited champion pool (less than 50), this could easily been avoided If all champions where unlocked for ARAM only.

I own all champions and I only play ARAM with an average MMR (about 20% of top) and have 8,5k games played or something like that

I don't mind having an aram account in my games, but I do mind being 100% sure to play vs a 3+ ARAM only premade any time I decide to queue up at really late hours or early in the morning. It's just very predictable and has made me play 1-2 arams per day max compared to the 10 I used to do in previous seasons.

At least unlock all the champions for everyone when the queue is slim? Like after midnight and until 12 noon make all champs available and the rest of the day the aram only accounts can have their fun.

Facing the same people again and again with the same champions (over 2-3 hundred games not necessarily in the same day) is...silly.

Bans were cool because I never had to deal with maokai, a VERY EASY champion with 60%+ winrate in ARAM.

Also, I wish riot "adjusted" based on higher tier MMR games and not the whole spectrum. Unless it's supposed to be so unbalanced in which case I don't see a reason to even try and "adjust" anything. Either do it correctly or not at all.

I might as well create a smurf tbh, only reason keeping me from doing it is I don't want riot to "grow their player base"

Simple answer: The top ARAM games are filled with Pre-made 5 man teams. And the Highest MMR ARAM games are commonly ARAM-Only accounts with the same open roster of champs.

These five man teams with similar rosters (even with the 3 rotation of champs) found it easier with the bans to increase their chances on getting the champs they wanted by banning those they didn't want in their similar rosters.

Suspected fix maybe allowing all champs and bans as it currently is on the PBE. We will have to see how Riot proceeds. But including all champs in ARAM kinda goes against a business process... you don't give all of your product out for free.

I banned Lux or Xerath because i hate getting poked across the entire map. Literally just played a aram and the enemy team had Lux and Xerath, i was at half health before i could even walk into range to use any abilities or auto anything. BRING BACK BANS! Was the best change about this past bilgewater and Riot scrapped the idea that most people loved.

Ive liked the ban ideas for urf. However even with bans you still had that stupid op team with kayle. There just isnt a way to ban all tge cancerous picks. Im sorry for being that scaling tank. Nautilus However aram is best if tgere is a chance to any champ. That way if you end up playing a champ you dont know you learn how they work. Also this is me ranting but dont build full tank in aram... its not fun for anyone and its unhonorable to build tank if it doesnt give you more damage

Although karthus, fizz, and Maokai with BS abilities should be a permanently banned addition...
