I hate seeing those threads all over the place. Just stop saying "KYS" or using a slur and you would be fine.
Edit: I've been seeing a lot of "KYS" today and to be honest I don't report because I believe in second chances. Instead I say "Don't say that you'll get banned" as a warning. If they keep doing it than I'll report.

When I get mad, I talk out loud to myself. I've even got "stayed cool" on games that I've been furious with my team mates over. I've never been suspended for 14 days or any of that. It's easy, just don't type. You people forget the part where if you can't say anything nice, just don't type.

In the 3 months I was on it I broke my computer desk, nearly threw my monitor several times and injured my hand just from playing league. Never took it out on teammates though, no matter how douchey.

How do you know that other person was not banned? Also they added a mute button for a reason. And at this point people are exploiting the kys thing and most likely trying to get people to say it.

I mean flaming and saying stuff like "ur trash" or "trash yasuo" won't get you punished unless you've been constantly doing it the whole game.

Because riot uses a bot to deliver justice, and this is the result. Because chat is all about context, and a bot can't understand context.

DuskDaUmbreon1 votesWell, then you need to actually report them. Don't send a report ticket if it happens in-game, or in pre/post game if the game reaches post-game (If someone dodges in lobby, send a ticket in then, of course).
If nobody reports them, the system won't even try to catch it. The system does not check unless a report is issued, or unless Riot has some other reason to check the game (Such as if a flag that indicates scripting goes off).

DuskDaUmbreon1 votesMake sure you're specifying when the behavior occurred, if it didn't occur in-game. Specifically put, in big, capital letters, [SEE POST/PRE-GAME] at the end of it. Don't leave it in the middle of a sentence.
If you notice someone who has done it multiple times, and you're certain they have not been punished, you can always submit a ticket. Riot would rather you didn't do this unless it becomes absolutely necessary, however.

If all you said was "hey jungle kys" than of course it's going to be perceived as a threat.
