Let us smell nearby Twitch.

So, twitch is a massive snowballer at the moment. Give me a pair a kills, an item and a half and watch the avalanche. I love it, but even I can see it's not fair. It doesn't give a fighting chance.

But I honestly think they had the right idea with Rengar (er, one right idea.). What if you had a couple of stink-lines over your champ to warn you Twitch was nearby. Alternatively, what if you could hear him cackling before you ever see him.

Or leave him as is. I'm fine with my quad kills.

I dont know about you, but i'm not up for smelling Twitch myself... If you're into that, I wont judge.

That aside, This is a change I think I could live with. Think his ult in the end is what needs touching up though.

That new Rengar ult was genius to be honest, because you knew when he used it and possibly if he was coming for you and even if you died it still felt satisfying at least you knew he was around, they should really do something like this for Twitch.

when he came first came out, dying to him wasnt very satisfying it was more like a death sentence a chance to say some final prayers

Fowus2 votes

they should change the range indicator on it though like the point where you know rengar is ulting because right now enemies can see from across the dang map

Realistically speaking, WW could smell a rat, even if it were really far away.

Twitch is one of my mains, and I hate to nerf him in any way. But this sounds like a really good idea. No joke. Upvote this into the sky so that Riot can see. This would probably eliminate a lot of the hate people have for Twitch and give him just enough room to be countered when he tries to make a good flank play.

Or just straight up nerf a blatantly broken adc with 55-60% winrate from dia to master.

He's only problematic because Caitlyn and Draven keep getting banned. They put his ass in it's place in laning phase but aren't around to do it right now.

Jg twitch would be ruined, no thanks

Aazzlano2 votes

well technically if he gets close enough you can smell (detect) him but that radius is quite small

but yeah I agree twitch is pretty bullshit

Forget VR. This is the future.

If it isn't as big, I'd be fine with that. Obviously not global like Rengar's cause his is an ult so obviously it's more important cooldown, whereas Twitch is basic ability which I could see being used as a constant zoning tool.

Maybe even do something like it doesn't activate until he hits 6 so he can keep his cheese ability while he doesn't have ult. He isn't as lethal without ult, so you don't need insane warning.

That or do what Shaco does and leave a stink cloud that shows in fog of war, so that if you are aware of your surroundings, you will at least know what's coming.

This is an idea I enjoy a lot. Don't like the op as much but still not a bad direction

Though tbh it's probably not the right idea for nerfing him anyway better things about his stealth to nerf and just better things to nerf in general

Leetri1 votes

Eh he has a pretty long duration on his stealth, he could easily stealth bot lane and walk up to mid with it still being active. I don't think anyone wants to constantly scour the entire map for stink clouds. It wouldn't be as useful as for Shaco.

i mean alot of champions can do damage with an item an half, i can rush gunblade on ap ez and make it so you cant lane anymore an if you under 80% health im tower dive you.

Can't dive what you can't see!

I'd say i 2nd this, but it looks like i'm the 5th to agree.

Fowus1 votes

they would hard nerf him if you mean you should be able to see the twitch from across the map (like rengars current ult)

SettDownShutUp1 votes

See him across the map? The hell kinda Rengars have you been playing against? I'm talkin about the nifty symbol that goes over your head when a rengar gains line of sight on a target.

"Rengar's eyes appear over the head of the target Rengar gains sight of (visible to both teams)"

Have one for Twitch except they're smelling a stinky rat instead.

Fowus1 votes

you see the eye appear over your head from across the map so the enemy knows that you ulted way ahead of the time it sucks the range indicator for it needs to be closer but not as close as the old ult

Doozku1 votes

You've misread the tool-tip. The symbol appears from across the map, but the symbol also gives you vision of the target.

Fucking stinkrat dude.

DaNinad1 votes

This would make jungle twitch completely unviable, since he has no cc or mobility to catch up to an enemy, his q was really the only thing that made him viable in the jungle.

Doozku1 votes

If it's small enough, I feel like this could be a good idea. Maybe it could be his ult radius? or slightly larger by his ult radius (by 200/300 units? Idk I'm bad at calculating range in this game.)

One thing I really hate when playing against a twitch, is the fact that if I don't burst him down fast enough, he can activate invis and even though you are attacking him, it won't disable his invisibility once it activates after a few seconds. He shouldn't be allowed to escape back to his turret that easily when he overextended. Mf has her fast movespeed but if she gets hit, she can't just keep running fast and I think twitch should not go invisible if he is under attacked. He should only go invisible if he did not take damage during the time before going stealth, that would be more fair.
