Just curious, since we players never really had anything like this before and I was just wondering if this was a one time thing or if this is something that sometimes will allow players to decide on what skins they want to see released?

Seems really well liked by the community, but the big problem is getting people's hopes up for their skin, just for it to lose. And now we have a bunch of people who saw this cool concept that had a chance of happening thrown into a backlog because not enough people wanted it.
We all know the community's hangover with Dragonmaster Swain.

It Hertz When IP1 votesIf you think about it, they already did. They didn't say "Hey guys, submit your ideas," they said "Hey guys, we think these three options would all be good skin ideas, which do you like best?"

The DrBonjigollo1 votesYeah, I'd love to be able to vote for the less popular champs and those without skins every other patch or so, but we might run into another Ao Shin Problem.
_For those who don't know, Ao Shin was a bad-ass storm dragon that was almost never released but eventually came out as 
(love him, but I still want my storm dragon). _
But chances are people will expect the winner of the vote(Deep Space Baby) and we'll end up with maybe Dreadnova instead or something worse and people won't like the result at all, which may discourage riot from trying this again any time soon.
