Nearly Everything That Had to Do With Season 5 Was a Buff to Warwick

1. HARDER JUNGLE

Warwick is the ultimate sustain jungler, right up there beside Fiddlesticks. Since Warwick has the opposite issues sustaining in the jungle, Warwick was unaffected by the harder jungle like many other sustain junglers.

2. NEW JUNGLE ITEMS

The new jungle items gave Warwick exactly what he needed... more on-hit effects. The big part of this being a true damage on-hit effect. This allows Warwick to ignore a lot of defenses with his ultimate.

3. A MUCH MORE REWARDING EARLY DRAGON

Dragon is much more impacting early game now that it gives flat out stats. Warwick is one of the few junglers that can solo the Dragon very early and this gave him another strategic advantage over his opponents.

4. THE REMOVAL OF item 3123 EXECUTIONER'S CALLING

Ever heard of this item. Some of you don't, but this item applies grievous wounds on-hit to champions. This item was one of the main items for AD champions to counter Warwick due to his extreme healing and they removed this item.

5. CHANGE TO BARON BUFF

Warwick already has super sustain and can pick up Blue Buff very easily. The change to Baron Buff made the buff much more beneficial to Warwick by giving him increased pushing power and removing what he did not need.

6. ADDITION OF item 3800 RIGHTEOUS GLORY

This is not a major reason, but with this item Warwick is provided with enough time to out his enemy below 50% health in order to activate his movement speed boost. It also gives him a lot of extra stick.

Also, on a side note, summoner 1 Cleanse does not remove the suppression of his ultimate, but this has been in the game since his release.

Warwick is not broken, it is just nearly everything that has been changed this preseason benefits Warwick.

Personally I think it's nice that sustain actually matters in the jungle now. That said, yes he has benefited overall to the jungle changes. It should be interesting to see what happens with the changes to Devourer and Challenging Smite. I have a feeling he'll remain a competitive pick but no longer be overbearing in his power. People seem to forget that presently he can only gank once every two minutes early on.

Yo, at the least, don't mislead people. Even when it was present, no one built it anyway. Hell, it had a bloody .05% pick rate.

Yes, but any who use it will tell you that is the main or one of the only ways to combat a fed Warwick since he can outsustain most tankiness.

I like how you set this up, very clean

Hooray to Microsoft Excel for making me needlessly organize everything.

I agree with you completely, but I do have to point out that bringing up Cleanse is a moot point. Yes the suppress is annoying, but the worst part of his ult is how much it hurts currently, and while a QSS will get rid of it, the damage still ticks off even while you're walking away.

Know what that tells me?

Warwick's ult needs a ne--

It's a good take. it's presented well. Not sure why downvotes.

Really, it's just the new broken Skirmisher's Devourer that's making him crazy. It's fine for him to be the super sustain guy and for that to be an upside is even a valuable thing to the game. They'll get him balanced np.

No word on the awesome Warwick rework proposals we've heard in the past. His kit is still pretty lame.
