Can we get a MR/CDR item for tanks?

There are currently four MR/CDR items in the game: Athenes Unholy Grail, Mikaels Crucible, Locket of the Iron Solari, and Spirit Visage. Of those, only one (SV) is a truly attractive option for tanks. Locket is a decent tank item too, but it's not a particularly cost-efficient source of personal MR.

Spirit visage is a great source of CDR/MR for tanks, but the passive is useless on a lot of champions.

Tanks who want to max out their CDR early are often pigeon-holed into buying Frozen Heart. FH is good against heavy physical comp, but it feels like a waste against a team with 2-3 mages.

The game could use a new MR item anyways. Generally speaking, there are more armor items for tanks than MR items for tanks. A tank who wants armor can grab Frozen Heart, Thornmail, Randuins, Sunfire Cape, or even an Ohmwrecker if you're feeling ballsy. There are only two true MR tank items: Banshees and SV. At most three if you want to count Locket.

There doesn't seem to be any good reason why it should be easier for a tank to max CDR against a heavy physical comp than against a heavy magic comp. An MR equivalent to Frozen heart (20% cdr, mid range cost) would be really nice.

I think frozen heart itself is even problematic. It is simply a bad item on so many champions who don't really need a large portion of its stats. If you only plan on buying 1 armor item, frozen heart is one of the worst options because it comes with no health.

Going back to MR items, i flat out believe the SV nerf was unwarranted and should be reverted.

I barely even remember what it was like to be able to achieve 40% CDR on melee champs anymore.

Weird idea but: Remove the Kindle from SV's buildup and replace it with Giant's Belt. Give it more HP and enhance its passive.

Then make a new 20% CDR HP/MR item that builds out of Negatron, Kindle, and and possibly one other HP item. Give it a unique passive that steals MR from enemy champions you deal magic damage to. Makes you tankier and amps your team's damage? Sounds like a Tank item to me.

How about 20 CDR on locket, that would actually convince me to build it on non-support champs in solo-q

YES! I cannot deviate much from my standard build because I would be losing out of CDR. I play Skarner, and there are only three items I can safely build on him that give CDR: item 3110, item 3025, and item 3717. Juggernaut is bad right now, Frozen Heart doesn't always need purchasing, so it only leaves Iceborn Gauntlet.

the worst thing is that if you need to take MR glyphs because of some mage bully it means you're missing out on CDR glyphs, which cuts into your CDR even more :/

this always bothers me when i play riven and end up against lissandra or something. not only am i taking MR intsead of CDR in my runes, but I'm also rushing hexdrinker and merc treads instead of brutalizer and ionians and i just feel soooooo slow.
