redniwediS2 votesIt is occasionally taken for top and mid lane, when teleport is not a good pick and you have sticking issues or need to mitigate burst damage while dealing your own.
It's not that exhaust is bad elsewhere, there are just usually better options depending on the situation.
NoMonku2 votesIf you watch professional games. exhaust is taken mid a lot if they are against assassins or if they know they are against champions they will need it against(strong ADC/Top lane late game). In solo q it does help to take it, but usually exhaust helps more when there's less of a skill discrepancy between the players. Ignite will help guarantee a kill a lot more then exhaust if you're against someone you are better then. Not saying exhaust isn't good, I just feel that getting a kill and snowballing harder is > you taking exhaust for the late game.

JustMyBassCannon2 votesI never really liked using Flash. Almost a 5-minute cooldown to move about 1/3 of sight range. Sure, mobility is king, but if I want mobility, I pick a champion with mobility. The only times I've really used Flash were playing Fiddlesticks to reposition his ultimate.
Exhaust has always been my sidearm, even more than Ignite. Whether suddenly turning a duel in your favor or shutting down the damage of a high-priority team fighter, it's fantastic.

Direwolfiez1 votesSmart mid laners will pick it when they know they're going against a Zed. Pretty much nullifies his ult and makes it difficult for him to get away before he can get wrecked.
