Can we remove the need to lock in in draft pick?

There is no reason to not auto lock in the champion which is selected. All it does is pointlessly kick you out for not pressing a button.

Shows you looked at what you selected, made sure that what you wanted to play, and makes sure you didn't afk in the lobby.

This is a stupid argument, because i could just as easily afk in the load screen.

I had to be there to accept match making.

Why is it so difficult to just lock in? Champ select is not for hovering your champ then walk away to give yourself more time.

Lock in your champ or get kicked. You're being selfish by wasting everyone's time

It's a disparity between blind pick and draft pick which is pointless and just needlessly kicks you from the game because you're use to not needing to lock in.

Lock in feature prevents some problems. Lock in feature also CREATES unnecessary problems too.

Game loads and some players are afk for first 30 sec, 1 min, maybe even 1min and 30 sec. Why? Because instead of catching break, going for their smoke, or going to shit their pants during the early champ select, they had to wait til last minute til they locked in. This is a common phenomena that every Korean server players acknowledge. You want to discourage people from multitasking? Well good luck.

You think people would just "dodge" a game during champ select and take a loss over taking a chance when there's a perfectly good chance they might get back on time? And what if they don't get back in time and the team is left with 4 people for first 1 minute? Still better than taking a LOSS and a dodge penalty right? This manual lock-in does no good, but because it's been this way for long, people will just find this normal and refuse to consider any change or alternatives.

old post but for real this is just an easy way for me to log out and play another game. Get all hyped checking everything out with your skins or masteries think your all good just to come back from grabbing your soda to see you got kicked because you chose everything you wanted but you didn't lock in. Really riot? I know the community of league is a bunch of kids that don't know the value of time but every time I get banned for five minutes I leave a nice post on these boards and log out for a good 4 months before some friend decide to ask me to play again.
