At this stage, just create different patches for LCS.

It's obvious that the differences between soloQ play and coordinated professional play are huge. It's not even on the same side as challenger vs bronze. Why not just make different patches and general gameplay for casual players and for pro play? For example, leave Galio having a regular ult cooldown, while in pro play, that cooldown goes to where it is right now.

This is not that classic "oh nerf Garen he's op" type of thread. This is not a thread to nerf / buff something because lower elo players have trouble with it. It's something entirely different, it's something that NO PLAYER outside the pro scene can do, and that's team play and coordination, therefore, certain things are UNIVERSAL to soloQ players.

If Fiora is considered weak in pro, because team play keeps her low, she is not weak in soloQ. Like it or not, even the best challenger non-pro players can't have real deep coordination. They do basic stuff, but that's it. And how can they? How can I coordinate with someone COMPLETE random person that matched in a game with me? It's not like I can talk logic into them to do a certain thing, pick a team comp, or do some map pressure at a certain point of the game. I HAVE TROUBLE BRINGING MY TEAM TO GET INFERNAL DRAGON, let alone do anything more like playing to counter a Fiora.

Coordination in soloQ feels like trying to feed meat into a vegan; it will never happen. Coordination is what makes pro play what it is, and why the best teams currently are the best; because they excel at it. You wanna go ahead and change / gut / buff things so that pro play becomes more balanced around ITS OWN MECHANICS? Go ahead, by all means. BUT DO IT IN A SEPARATE SERVER. Have a different server with its own patches that fits the pro play level.

I don't understand why Riot hasn't implemented this yet. SoloQ and pro play are two completely different games and they do need different patches.

What about premades who abuse champs like Galio and Shen?

Honestly, never seen that so far. At best, it's only happening on rare occasions and it's not a soloQ meta or anything. If you are talking about flexQ 5man premades, I have no experience playing there, but I assume it's not much of a problem, same with soloQ. Anyone can play Shen in soloQ and have some extra team coordination.

Yes it's pretty rare because most premades in normals aren't that tryhard. But is it really fair to leave overpowered things in the game and just say oh it's fine only a few people abuse it?

Also, with Clash Riot is trying to make it more appealing for people to create teams and think about team comp and strategy. If Clash is successful we should see champs that are strong in organized play become more relevant outside of the LCS.

I don't believe that with Shen's R at 180 seconds at rank 1 and Galio at 140, it creates many problems. Having to coordinate this, alongside wave control (push lane before doing the play), while also making sure the targeted lane is in place + the jungler can be around to assist the play is very hard to pull off. I'm not sure if the success rate of such plays is good enough, if anything, people have trouble coordinating a freaking traditional gank, so much more so a Shen - Galio R combo.

Well my point was that there are premades in normals and flex who make the most of these champs. So is it really fair for you to ask Riot to have a separate balance for LCS and the main servers?

If the general player base across all elo is vastly inferior in utilizing certain picks compared to pro players, then yes. What you offer as counterpoint is just a very very small minority which, honestly, if they can make those comps work, then kudos to them. I'm not even saying they should make Shen's R like 1 minute, just don't change it to super high timers just because pro teams abuse that.
