so basically mord is now viable as a support but no one seems to get the memo yet. he is someone who specializes at catching someone out like thresh blitz and naut. however he trades some of his utility for raw damage. and a new utility(his ult) im calling "isolation".

in basically every situation you want to bring aftershock and font of life, bone plating (or second wind depending on lane) and revitalize, secondary dosent matter as much but i prefer relentless hunter and zombie ward. youre going to be building item 3401 item 3116 item 3111 basically every game

early game youre going to want to either yoink people in and slam them down and stick on them with passive or scare them off with the threat of it so your adc can get a farm advantage.

at 6 you need to make the choice yourself on who you want to pull into the shadow realm because your lane is about to become a 1v1 on both sides. the only thing you really need to think about is if your adc can win that 1v1 because its basically impossible for you to lose yours but it might not be possible for you to win yours either.

an important note here you want to pull them in to proc aftershock FIRST before you bring them into the shadow realm.

once mid game hits and you have your item 3116 your objective is basically going to be to isolate the most important person on their team or whoever enabling that person. the exceptions to this are champs you will outright die to for whatever reason (likeVayne Nasus etc) assuming you have some resistances at this point you will be able to at least not die to most fed people if not outright kill them. youre also very good at taking objectives with your jungler or at least delaying the enemy jungler from killing it long enough for your jungler to come around. sending the enemy jungler to the shadow realm with you is a good way to basically ensure you will get drag.

late game is basically the same deal but selecting the right person to isolate will basically win you the game.

your build full build will generally look like this not taking into account situational buys item 3401 item 3111 item 3116 item 3118 item 3065 item 3107 oritem 3190

He's viable, but when I play him supp I always feel like it's missed potential. You can do so much better with money... That's exactly the same state as Cassio or Syndra supp: you have legit cc, you have strong early damage, but you fall off so hard that it makes no sense to not just play them as a laner.

The problem with Morde support (I’ve tried it in 3 games) is he offers nothing besides a long CD hook in lane.

24 seconds of being able to do nothing is huge in lane. While hard engage counters poke, Morde actually gets rekt by poke in lane with zero answer if he doesn’t land his E.

And with champions like Yuumi and Ezreal being popular, you’re never gonna be useful to your ADC.
