The issue with Tank supports, and supports as a whole

I'm going to try to make this as short and simple as possible, so you guys can understand.

, being the main supports I see nowadays, are pretty much the meta. This is no secret, they provide more for a team than the tanks, right? Wrong.

Let's look at the support items for those champions, and look at the support items for tanks. are the top tier items, and are usually the only items bought for these guys.

are the common tank items for tanky supports.

Oh, do you notice the trend yet? I hope you do, the top support items, of any support tier, help the team. Well I'll be! Support items that help the team rather than 1 player, the ADC, are the best items to opt into? OMG!!!

Yea Riot, all the other items like help 1 person, why is this? I feel for support mains and why they wish not to pick tanks, because if these are the items they have to opt into that help 1 player rather than the team, I would just go a mage that have as core and help my whole team rather than my 0/10 ADC that has no idea what he is doing. Supports job is not to help the ADC, they are just there because that is usually the ADCs weakest point, early game. They are supports for the team, not just 1 person. This is why the support role has shifted into better options, even if those better options are just 2 items.
