An unpopular thought: what if DynamicQ isn't the problem?

But it's the need for premades just to make the game enjoyable?

What if it's primarily the game balance alone that makes League "not fun for solo players", and not just DynamicQ? Yes, it did worsen the "terrible meta" kind of mess, but what if it's not the only thing to blame?

What if our good ol' Solo/DuoQ is in place of DynamicQ, but with the current meta and balance changes (such as super snowbally games, the "kill or get killed in 0.5 seconds", etc), would games be more or less enjoyable? For instance, there are 2 teams, and both have 5 solo players. One side had all of their lanes won, and because of the snowbally meta plus the "teamwork" requirement to catch back up, the game's most likely a lost cause for the losing team. In the end, is DynamicQ the main problem in the first place?

Yes, I used to be one of the culprits that actually wanted a DynamicQ because as a primarily ranked player (for those that like to use OP.GG, don't punch me, that was me in S4 and S5), I did "ditched" a lot of my friends. As as a player who duoQ most of the time, having more people joining my "duoing crusade" would be more fun (and also the obvious: I main support). But that's because in seasons 4 and 5, you don't have to set up hardcore voice-chatting calls and the like, and can still win; a 3-man and a 2-man premade in a team can lead each other to victory without much communication. That's how it worked even in normals long ago anyways. Now, to season 6. I team up with the same friend, and as a 2-man premade, there's still nothing much we can contribute in our games. Hell, even if we win, it's not as satisfying, because no one is leading anyone else, but because of the snowbally meta. Yes, this also means, unless you are in a 5-man premade with active communication, it's not going to be fun.

So, maybe DynamicQ alone isn't put to blame, but instead it's mainly the good ol' snowbally meta that has "active communication" as a requirement. Yes, DQ is flawed, but is not the only thing that makes League seemingly terrible. Am I crazy? Or does this actually make sense? Thoughts?

No. No matter what meta it is a team with communication will always be at an advantage over those who doesn't.

What if both sides have no communication? Would this be any slightly better?

Games would still be snowbally and be just as one-sided.

If both side have no communication then nothing changes except that you need to actually be decent at the game to climb the ladder.

Without premades you have to depend on your own skill and work with your team through sheer game sense/knowledge.

I mean, clearly the game WAS fun for solo players if so many solo players, like myself, want soloq back. Dynamic Boost is no measure of skill at all. If you wanna have fun, go play some weird shit in normals with your friends.

Edit: if you wanna have even more fun, play a different game.

I'm more on talking about how it's not the only problem why League sucks right now, because well... just take a look on the forums. They're acting as if it's the only thing.

You're not wrong, though, because DQ doesn't really highlight an individual's "true ranking".

I'd rather everybody blow up in seconds than everybody being tanky as hell. Just my two cents.
