What if Singed's poison started ahead of him? For bad Singed players, like Lee's buff

Currently Singed has a hard time laning, the way to play Singed at full success is proxy. Unfortunately, it's a pretty damn hard technique, andalthought it can be abused the most against low-knowledge opponents, it requires for the player to have high strategic knowledge and map awareness, as well as dedicated runes, which are EXPENSIVE (dammit roti). So basically if Singed could poison enemies in front of him in melee range (even reduced melee range, like 100?) it would allow him to trade much more easily. I know, thematically it doesn't make much sense since he would be poisoning the air he breathes, but hey, gas masks exist.
